I am new here so i was wondering which pool should i use to get some coins so i can start a character, thanks
The mining difficulty is so hard. You will have better luck pwning a pump n dump coin then converting to HUC.

I believe the easiest way to get started is to actually trade for a couple on poloniex. That's how I started.

I've to say I like how the client it's going and I've an half-baked ideas about turning (well, not turning, more a side project) this client into a standalone cryptocurrency game
not a competitor of huntercoin, that i'll keep to support with my client and in every way, but a centralized game that doesn't involve any wallet per se but it's fueled by cryptocoins and every cryptocoin has a meaning into the game, but this is not the place to talk about it, here we need to support huntercoin !!
and now back to coding
I would love to see something that included multiple cryptocurrencies, but stemmed from this idea. That uses hunter coin as the base and the mining power along with it.

i'm keeping going on with the new interface
here a couple of pic about current state (difficult to evaluate with a static image, but just to let you know my project go on)
my progress about new interface, compared to old one, is:
Cell Info: done
Chat/Console: done
Miniwallet: 90% (need to finish "send to")
Target Window: working on
Minimap: 50% (minimap will be a toggable map, maybe with a button on top-right corner, like for the settings already there, in blue)
My Troops: to do
Login/Fee Window: 30%
Settings Window: todo

HUC has really lost steam lately. What ever happened to crypsty accepting it?
people leave it because they dont have a chance against bot. coin spawn area is heavily guarded and if you manage to get some coin BGB will steal it from you.
and what about those updates thath destroy everything(natural catastrophe to reset the field) and other things?
I think the dev team don't have any motives to do this. The game maybe well dead.
Actually, we're actively working on implementing the natural disaster to make the game much more interesting again. I already have a working patch that is almost finished (and can be checked out & tested from my Github fork domob1812/huntercoin). I don't know when the first disaster will actually happen, but it is almost implemented.
Thanks for your tremendous hard work! If only huntercoin have some PR guys like dogecoin's, this coin with so much innovation will make a bigger succuess.

Yes, the bots suck, and it really sucks that once I have enough coins on a hunter to try to bank them, I have to ride escort the whole way to the bank. Anything like a set-the-30-move-to-bank-and-walk-away is guaranteed to get that hunter killed on the way, usually by a bot. Even with all that though, I am still able to make 20-50 HUC/day with some effort. I have been using the milthrilman edition, and it truly makes things a lot easier to plan.

maybe with standard client, but with mine i can easily get coins every day (i don't play often) , it's just a matter of planning your moves
of course you can't think about making 100 hucs in an hour
and talking about bgb bots, they are annoying because thay may kill you when you are afk, but his bots are the easiest to get down because they don't evade.

I imagine a future with slimmer blockchain, more player playing the game and my client being used a lot (and when i'll implement a bot system this will lead to a "mass" adoption i think), the problem is that currently the game isn't popular, people prefer to gamble about shitcoins rather then invest in an innovative coin, so at the moment i'm not worried and i think that the "mass adoption" will begin when pruning + blockchain shrink and client with bot will be available
this mean that earlier adopters will have a big advantage about coin value
