Its a competition of google play?  If its the purpose of this project well i guess it will have to be a long way, due to the popularity of google play.  Though if selling cards is one of your ways of earnings,  it should be inexpensive.
I have a few questions:
- When will ICO Start and End?
- How Much total token supply and what is token Price?

1. We still don't have the dates defined, but they will be announced shortly.
2. 450 Million Tokens each valued at 0.10 USD.

We need an alternative to google play. It is very good that appcoin is taking that challenge head on. Google can not just be everything, there must be powerful competitor from cryptosphere and to be honest, I love what you are doing at appcoin!
Let us not forget apple store, but if this does let us say even just 10 percent of Google play or apple store transactions. That will be enough to have more growth i personally think.

This will be an alternative from playstore and appstore. I wonder what will be appcoin's edge compared to those app store?

AppCoins will not be an alternative to Google Play or Apple Appstore. It's merely a protocol based on the blockchain. Those two big players can theoretically become AppCoins compliant if they see value in it.

How are the advisors getting compensated?

They will get a percentage of the tokens. That percentage will be a part of the ones allocated to the "key contributors", as you can see on the crowdsale document, page 52: https://appcoins.io/pdf/appcoins_crowdsale.pdf

Would this application be free for all? And if you were to sell "cards" for games how would your company make profit of such, out of curiosity? Isn't your goal for this app to gain revenue for your company?

AppCoins is not actually a company, it will be a non-profit foundation. So, the objective is not for AppCoins to generate profit, but only to oversee the protocol development. AppCoins compliant app stores, OEMs and developers all make a profit.

What sort of auditing or verification process will you apply to make sure developers do put up apps with Trojans or viruses?

Who are your competitors in this space on blockchain?

I guess that, currently, the only competitors are Basic Attention Token (BAT), which were the inspiration behind our Proof-of-Attention model. But, as we've been saying, our use cases are wider (we cover also in-app transactions and app approval). Additionally, their focus is web, while our focus is mobile.

What made you guys decide to use blockchain?

How'd you guys come up with this idea anyway?

We believe that these three processes: mobile advertising, in-app transactions and app approval could benefit a lot from transparency and decentralization. Blockchain is currently the best (only?) solution.

does that mean we are gonna have an decentralized app store where things like google store wont happen.
and anybody can upload their app ?

Aptoide has those characteristics, but that's something specific of Aptoide. While AppCoins is supported by Aptoide, these are two different projects with different goals.

AppCoins' goal is to decentralize the mobile advertising, in-app purchase transactions and app reputation/approval. So it doesn't actually deal with the content itself, only with metadata. The content is still the responsability of each app store. Aptoide is the only app store that has a decentralized social model - but the AppCoins protocol does not force that at all.

Security wise, Appcoin apps will be safer than mainstream stores because Appcoin is based on blockchain which mean there is no central server to attack. Attacker will need to attack all the nodes connection!

Add to that the fact that some Android app stores, such as Aptoide, are also partially decentralized in their own architecture (in terms of content upload). By adopting/supporting AppCoins a further step is taken towards decentralization since a lot of apps/ads metadata is moved to a transparent ledger.

I've been really supportive of application that supports other applications. However it doesn't take out the point that being an independent company, how would you be able to connect your "application" to other applications let's say STEAM CARDS for Steam?

The priority now is mobile, and in particular Android.
Other platforms, such as Steam/PC/Consoles is something to consider in the future. The concept of AppCoins is useful for several types of apps across industries and platforms, but the focus is mobile for now.

AppCoins is not actually competing with Google Play. As a protocol it can even potentially be adopted by them (in theory at least).

Aptoide, however, is in direct competition with Google Play, has has been since 2009, and have been quite a successful challenger.

I was reading your whitepaper and I saw that we could actually purchase game cards in your app. Moreover, would your application serve as an online wallet also, increasing and decreasing based on the value of btc?

Yes, that has been asked a few times. You're right, value fluctuations will be a problem, and we're working on that. Other ICOs are facing similar obstacles, and there are several possible solutions on the table being discussed internally.

I have been using aptoide app for a long time to download my favorite app that i cannot download from another sites , looking at this project is more interesting , it will be a good project , .
Hmm, how could you find that App in aptoide instead in Google play? is their any app that is not available on Google store? Can you name the app that you are not able to download on Google play.

There are quite a few apps that are not available on Google Play. Just a few days ago UC Browser was removed from Google Play. Popular apps such as Snaptube have also been removed from Google Play. That's one of the reasons behind AppCoins. We believe that blockchain can bring transparency to these app removal/approval processes.

If ever I were to purchase game credits through your app, and if ever I cashed in a huge amount of btc, do you have a trusted escrow? And could you mention the company of this escrow so that we may verify?

Token Market are managing our token sale process, so they will be responsible for returning the funds to the participants in case its necessary.

Would be the advantage of your application compared to that of google play store?

Aptoide is decentralized and works a bit like a social network for Android apps.

Could you verify if your application would be in connection to itunes, and as for the accessability, would it be available in the Philippines?

Yes it would be. Aptoide is already quite big in the Phillipines.

Will this be under google play or just an individual stand by your team?
As what I understand in their project I guess they are independent company and they are not planning in doing a collaboration to google play.
But in their Pre-load Tier1 OEMs it is stated that " other apps store that joined ". So I am confuse what stores that they are pointing to it as google play is a big company already and I am not sure that they will take part in this project.

Google Play and Apple are potential partners in the long run. However, those other app stores that are mentioned are other independent/third-party app stores. There are many like these, from regional app stores (think Yandex in Russia, 9Apps in India, CafeBazaar in Iran, etc..). And then there are others: http://www.businessofapps.com/guide/app-stores-list/

Overall AppAnnie estimates that the annual revenue of the third party app stores matches Google Play's in 2017: https://www.appannie.com/en/insights/market-data/app-store-revenue-forecast-139-billion-2021/

So even without a partnership with other major player the potential of the AppCoins protocol is still quite big.

Are you guys looking for more advisors to bring on?

Curious.

We are not looking for advisors actively, but we'll never refuse an advisor that can add value to the protocol. You may contact us at [email protected].

In case minimum investment target is not met would the company the company refund the money? Do you already have an escrow account?

We are using a third party entity to write the smart contract and issuing the token which is Token Market. Token market (https://tokenmarket.net/about) guarantees that in case the soft cap is not reached, the money is refunded. Token Market is responsible for token issuing for some of the top ICOs in the last year.

Another interesting project but Manager can you edit the roadmap because the pre-sale is November 6, 2018 instead of November 6, 2017.
It can create confusion to all investors and supporters.

Thank you will do.
As we are potential investors can u tell us what we can expect in terms of value when coins are listed?

Page 42 of the Crowdsale document answers that: https://appcoins.io/pdf/appcoins_crowdsale.pdf
But let us know if you require any further assistance Smiley

Nice about the advisors.  Can you share how many people are working on AppCoins right now?

Currently the people working on AppCoins are the ones listed on the team section on our website: https://appcoins.io/
This team is backed up by an additional 90 people from Aptoide.
