Thank you Dev for the update. I'm pleased that the Team is still updating this thread continuously, this is not done in every project.

It's good to see BitFence team continuously providing information here about all the developments. Normally Deva are active more on telegram only Smiley.

The white papers are a really nice addition, it's good to have this information available and also in as many languages as possible as it will reduce the amount of confusion about what the project  is actually targetting as its short and longterm goals and how it differs from the normal companies we all know.

I just stumbled upon the MEW breach situation! This is why we need more ways to protect ourselves! Bitfence will assist the crypto community on that matter.  Cool Cool Cool

The MEW breach was of the Public DNS's, not their websites servers being hacked. Amazon/Google's DNS were poisoned for around two hours.

Yes, it's kind of scam not hacking. Scammers created similar name and people visited wrong site. But can BITFENCE add features which can take care of such issues.

Yea, that's what we've been stressing about, imagine the loss that was made because of this, the global world need projects like this to help assist by providing what they are good at, which is protection, the effect that such projects can have in our lives is unimaginable, of course individuals will not understand this until they fall victims of hack

True.  BitFence may not be the perfect answer to this specific problem, but it does aim to close an existing gap in perimeter security defenses. Perhap they can find ways to identify and alert their routers to direct people away from affected dns servers?

Yes I saw that the other day. As soon as I got done reading the article on the hack I thought abt how bitfence will help towards future attacks like this one.

I believe that hack attempts will be eliminated as every hacker's method will be useless when he is "flagged" within bitfence.

The plans of the project team are ambitious enough. I hope you will succeed in implementing them. Tell me, what are the advantages for the holders of the tokens?

I am also looking for this information, but I dont see anything yet. I have not checked whitepaper yet, so dont know if this information is available in whitepaper.

Apart from the conventional token value increases benefits, I don't think there is any added plan by the team as a special holders benefit.

I don't think i have seen that either on the whitepaper but is it necessary for holders to always get benefits from projects?

I checked whitepaper but I don't see dividend kind of return if we hold BITFENCE tokens. I need to check if we can buy BITFENCE devices using tokens.
I think i found an answer to this in their whitepaper on page 17 under BITFENCE TOKEN (HNY) they say that Payments for subscription services will   solely be conducted utilizing HNY   Tokens.

I found nothing in the whitepaper about dividends. On page 17 they mentioned "In   addition to using automated BitFence mining software, HNY Tokens can also   be earned by submitting   suspicious network   traffic information, such as Firewall Rejection Logs, 3rd-party honeypot intrusion detection logs, ssh/ftp logs   etc."

Okay, but I still dont understand how token value will go up? What kind of return I will get if I keep this token for long term? I am thinking from investors point of view.
I think you will get more tokens if you keep them because of their bonuses. And their value goes up because of the activities they do and if there is much ask for Bitfence then the value of it will rise.

Okay, but from where they will give this Bonus tokens?
Form daily mining by users? In this case is there any cap on total number of token. Also, will I get these bonus tokens yearly?

Sorry for so many questions, but I not getting this info from whitepaper. I am expecting BITFENCE team's response here.

These are very good questions, I think the mining-tokens are only generated after the mining and then sent directly to the miner. But these are just my thoughts, maybe I'm wrong
Yeap, I agree with Anilg's question. Me also have question, What about unsold tokens? Are they going to use as a bonus tokens?
If you scroll down on their website you can see the answer to this question as they say ''Token sale contract, following OpenZeppelin recommendations mints tokens on purchase, so there wont be any unsold tokens".

"No pre-mint, minted on purchase". That means that the BITfence Team create the Token directly when you buy it and will send them directly to your ETH address?

So no need to burn tokens for that matter. That's good news. I was wondering about this yesterday.

That's good thing. But I am still waiting for answer to the questions asked by Anilg. From where bonus tokens will come and how frequently bonus will be there.

I like the idea of removing hackers from the network  Smiley

We all love the idea I mean who won't  Grin

Is it really possible for say mew partnership with Bitfence as added security to the myetherwallet.com security? What do you think guys.  Huh

That will be very good idea. I have seen some recent events so this is very much needed. But this solution need to be implemented everywhere so that we can remove hackers completely Wink
I think it will be a win-win for both sides. On the side of Bitfence it will create serious advertisement, on an the side of MEW, it will bring them strong and reliable security from hackers. I think it will be a match made in heaven  Grin

I would say not only with MEW but also with various cryptocurrency exchanges. They are constantly targets and many of those have already been hacked.

That would be brilliant for the project: Bitfence, but I think it is realistic to see bigger partnerships once this project has been better implemented and developed, I hope we can see some more updates on how the work is going.

Yea, i so wish that will happen, hacks are bad and they can render something beautiful ugly, once a good project such as this can take charge of offering good protection to the community, the ratings will encourage huge partners to come on board, bitfence should aim at making this happen

I think it will be possible if BITFENCE gets more popular and if it will be as succesfull as they say. So they probably might partner with mew and maybe even other wallets if they succeed.

Quite ironic, with the recent DNS hack; although I don't think Bitfence would of prevented that attack since it was Amazon DNS server that got hacked which caused the issue I believe

Partners announcement would really boost the sale. I think if they would opt for a live QA session with the community would also helpful them since many ICOs actually manage to do really well after the live sessions.

"The ERC20 HNY Tokens would be distributed automatically through smart contracts during TGE to the Ethereum address provided by participants." That's mean they are distributing tokens same time of the purchase?

Yes, the smart contract sends you the tokens equivalent to the amount you invested as soon as you've sent the ETH it's standard for most ERC-20 tokens.

Yeah but i don't think all projects use that during their token sale.. I know of some that just keep the tokens in your dashboard on their site till the end of their ico.
