yeah, just have seen this tweet from bitenfence: https://twitter.com/BitFence_/status/998395500649943040
there you see the stingminer in action! how they write: it runs with no noise and no heat:-) i'm already in love

"runs with no noise and heat"?? That's strange. Is the stingMiner not made of mechanical parts that undergoes mechanical motion? It will really be interesting to know how mechanical parts work without emitting heat.

The StingMiner was built with light weight materials, the economy around it is such that there is almost insignificant loss of heat and quiet too unlike some rickety parts which makes a lot of noise to execute its functions

I’m pretty sure it’s a abc so no their aren’t any moving parts normally so it should be dead silent even if their was a fan I’m pretty sure it would be a low speed small one to keep it quiet

Remember it’s not a miner in the bitcoin sense

I see alot of people reporting their articles on multiple platforms and then submitting everylink in the spreadsheet.. Is that allowed..?

Check the rules, if it isn't there then it is maybe allowed ! Or you could also ask it on their Telegram if they have a bounty channel then it would be easy to ask it and get a answer.

it is just a RaspberryPi, so there are no mechanical parts.
I do not know the exact function of the Raspberry, but the mining will probably need as little power that the Stingminer does not get warm

Since the software is to run on the PI I am guessing they monitor ports for all incoming activity and accordingly track what goes in the network. Add to that I think most of the heavy processing is handled by the server and not the PI.

Exactly, the Pi just transmits data, there is no processing or anything done by the raspberry pi itself, it's just forwarding on the data to the Bitfence platform

So in that case, all we need to do is sit down relax and watch the event unfold, i'm not the techie kind of person but initially i thought it requires a bit of mechanical parts and all that but good it has nothing to do with that but just to send data, which is pretty decent

Can AI protect us from hackers? Why do we need AI? Very interesting and useful article:

https://medium.com/@bitfence/bitfence-can-ai-protect-us-from-hackers-4855efc75908

Bitfence are really doing great in the aspect if writing articles that explains why they are doing what they are doing. This article for example just taught me the importance of a.i in detecting and preventing attacks. Nice one again from Bitfence.

Bitfence have got a 17% bonus that ends in 1 day 14 hrs don't miss this opportunity to stuck up your bitfence token. Presently 971 eth has been raised.
I am not sure may be wrong. But I guess they extended countdown of 17% bonus? Before sometime I was saw 56 mins remains to end 17% bonus. But showing 18+ hours to ends 17% bonus? Could someone confirm it?
As far as i know is that the bonus will reduce linearly till 1st of June so i think we should be at 17% now and it is still showing 15 hours.

A Raspberry Pi is not a stream train, lol.  It does not have 'Mechanical parts' It's an electronic circuit board with basic components and doesn't even have a fan for cooling (There is simply no need for one..)

Empowering crypto w/ sustainable energy
BitFence tokens can be bought using only ETH? Or they are accepting other cryptocurrencies as well? I don't know if they are accepting Fiat currencies, but I expect other crypto coin options.
Hi i found your answer on their website here https://bitfence.io/, it says they are accepting ETH, BTC, LTC, DASH i do not think they are accepting Fiat.

Most of the Icos don't accept fiat money, but sometimes they will allow it. For me it is better to invest with the crypto coins, because you will not have any problems with your bank.

Thanks, friends for sharing the details. I don't expect Fiat option but I was expecting multiple cryptocurrencies as an option to buy BitFence tokens. Its good to see they have kept 3-4 options.

Anilbg, this below link also will help you to participate in ICO. Each and every steps are mentioned there with snapshot. Please check below link.

How To Buy BitFence Tokens Step By Step:

https://medium.com/@bitfence/how-to-contribute-to-bitfence-tge-2640be9dd3a1

Nice to see they've put together a comprehensive guide, always see people asking how to invest lol

It's good information for the people who are new to this project. Anyway what you guys think, BitFence tokens sale going good? I think it's but slow and BitFence team needs to do some more marketing, what you people think?
I don't think so they need more marketing. Sale is going much better. You have to be check raised ETH. Almost 49% ETH they recieved from investors and how you says sale is going slowly.

Is there any airdrop available from Bitfence ICO ? I know that there is a bounty available, because there is a thread for that.

Nope and I’m hoping they don’t I rather they maintain a high value by giving away as few tokens as possible I think a limited amount for bounty and a small amount for marketing but for airdrop I find that doesn’t do much for the teams that have airdrops

You're right, airdrop is good but has been known to cause more havoc than good because it took them little or nothing to get the tokens and is human nature to take free things for granted, bitfence has been doing well and is best they stay that way rather than open any door for free airdrops at the moment, tokens should be streamlined to be gotten through bounties
I prefer bounties over airdrops too, you can get a lot more in a bounty then in an airdrop and a lot of people usually dump their tokens if they have received it from an airdrop.

Well, I don't totally agree with this. I feel it's against the general belief that bounty hunter do most of the early dumps in market. I mean just like you said you get more tokens from bounty activities and the more the token you have the greater the value of a coin who's price is $0.001

I think bounty hunters are unlikely to dump if the project is good. Still your argument is valid and it may be a concern. I think what would matter is the team's execution. If the team is able to demonstrate capabilities that would be a real win.

With bounties you get to do actual valuable work for the ICO rather then just supply a dummy email or join a page. I think bounties add more value when it comes to content generation that is mostly healthy for the community.

Exactly, the project actually benefits from bounties with somewhat promotion, an airdrop is a way of advertising but not exactly for the right reasons, just advertising FREE MONEY essentially. I much prefer bountys as airdrops can impact a coin value of the project

airdrops have become a real epidemic. some threads or telegram-channels were completely unreadable by airdrops and then I avoided these projects.
Bounties are a good thing. i find it better, when i have to do something for the tokens.
and usually, as a participant in a campaign, you get to know the project better and maybe you invest something yourself.

It wasn't like this in the first place but desperation has led many to apply such strategy and at the end, you get a bunch of people whose real aim is to dump at any given chance but real investors understand what it takes to hodl because is their money on the line and they don't intend loosing it without some discipline

The chances of you dumping a bounty token is very minimal compared to airdrop, it takes a lot to still hold an airdrop token because it was given completely free unlike bounty where work done is required, I think Bitfence has got some bounty running in bounty0x

No noise or heat? So this means testing already started? Wow that's good news. And if product do it's work quietly then what else we need.

Of course there's no noise, the raspberry Pi is a fanless computer. Remember this is NOT mining like ASICS. This is software that runs on your network, think of it more as a masternode in terms of tech, not a BTC miner. You get rewarded for uptime and 'mining' hackers fingerprints, you are not solving blocks.

Good explanation and important for people to know the difference between mining "fingerprints" of hackers via the honeypot which is setup and seen as a client machine with vulnerabilities purposely set up to allow hackers in to see what kind of attacks they are using to protect themselves from it.
