Hello Mates, something new?
The trades still go down.., and the price is dropping. Is it there something which can help to rise ?  Roll Eyes

I have one project coming to promote Joincoin as a coin having one of the most incentivized acceptance and referral to use. It would be a real costly standalone program, taking months to build. It is unclear yet if I can afford to make it happen by myself.  Cheesy

Good Luck Dude Wink

Just let us know when you are rdy to drop some info about  Cool

I didn't talk about mining.
I talked about fake orders.
You can easily spot many of them on smaller coins: they are pretty evident as they trade at prices not available on the order book, keeping the daily volume over 1 BTC to lure customers into trading that coin.

pretty standard practice on any exchange if you wanna pump the volume,
you can do it thru api no prob, although bittrex is a bit "sensitive" to such activity )

No, that is made by the exchange itself.
You can't make trades against prices which are not on the order book (API or non-API), you must match an order with your trade.
I've seen that kind of activity on Cryptopia only.

ok you make an order and fill it yourself almost immediately, what's the point ?

Yes that is possible, I've seen that on other exchanges, and it behaves differently than those orders on cryptopia.
Anyways, there is no way to measure trust of an exchange: if you trust cryptopia more than for example novaexchange, you may have your reasons for that.
I have mine and from my experience I prefer nova over cryptopia by a wide margin. It's not just those fake orders. While on nova they got hacked and I recovered all my coins in a matter of hours.
People will make their own choises.

Ok pallas, you are probably right Smiley for you nova is worth..., for me Topia .. Smiley just I don't want to spend 1+ BTC just to list the J ..., that will be the same if I just gift 1/10 of my J..., what's the point then ?
in that way.., scrolling around the exchangers..., will trade J in the time.., that's it ... The price everywhere is going  down....
13-14 months I support it.., probably the time to go rid of it and stop mineit is close

Hi, I'm trying to compile source from pallas github, but when I tried to make the joincoin-qt I got this error: /usr/bin/ld: cannot find -lboost_system-mt

I'm using Ubuntu 15.04 x86_64 and libboost1.55

Thanks in advance.

Edit makefile, remove "-mt".

Thank you very much. Nice wallet!.

I think novaexchange is better than cryptopia.
Novaexchange is trustable (I had to deal with them and they were professional and cared for my coins).
I don't trust exchanges with fake volume like Cryptopia, how many other tricks may they be using?

times ago similar words been said about topia, it was young )
when nova makes it to a higher circle they'll be every trick you can imagine lol

Can't agree about CRYPTOPIA, they are fine since 2014 (I'm with them at the beginning), know the devs, which are very nice and always helpfully ppl..., and to be honest they do (for me) better job than Nova (which I use too from the beginning). About the mining at Topia that's not thru..., they reduce the mining usage and they will close that very soon, isn't them focus  on the mining there anymore. And about the users using Topia..., I believe they are even more than Nova xD, and what "tricks" you talking about pallas ?

which exchange for this now ?

Novaexchange

nova is next to a joke, was it ever on cryptopia ? (i can't recall)

The past request for voting @ Cryptopia, probably about 2 years ago, got rejected due to being against the accepting criteria of "no large premine".

The voting system no longer exists and likely they no longer care about the premine issues any more.

Listing is done by paying 2M DOT (the exchange's coin) which is priced at more than 50 sat, costing more than 1 BTC presently. Now they are focusing on upgrading to deal with exchange loads, putting mining pools in maintenance mode (; not a problem for Joincoin which does not need additional mining pools there and it is impossible to purchase mining pools for each algo.)

When the time is right and the price is right, getting listed at Cryptopia is a good choice due to its Market place which any one can use. Actually, I believe that if getting listed there, people would notice and may find ways to get to mining pools Joincoin miners are using.  Cheesy

Hello everybody!

do you know other Exchanges? For the moment are 3 (which I know): Nova, Tradesatoshi, and cryptodao
And ATM https://www.tradesatoshi.com/ is down for maintenance

Webwallet, exchange, market and payment system are available for Joincoin at the Cointopay.

https://cointopay.com/index.jsp

 Cheesy

In addition to market and payment system (for merchants)... there, the Webwallet & exchange (RefleXTrader) can be used, especially when Joincoin becomes popular.

Trading pair is only available for Joincoin/Bitcoin at present.   https://cointopay.com/Exchange.jsp#

What's going on with the NOVA...? J is like dead there ...., they have many markets.., but the activity is 2-5 % only ... Sad The PPL all the time dump it only and that's it ..., can't spend more BTC there ...
Yes the diff it's low.., but isn't worth now..., every one just sell and the price go down and down, and .... Do we can get it back to normal price..., or some here just buy cheap and hold for the future .... ?!?!

That depends on people, who's willing to buy. Novaexchange is no bittrex, traders and inverstors are often linked to a platform.
If you believe the coin is good, than it's the right time to buy.

Dude, I have 25k J bought, and probably 30K J mined..., you understand then, what I'm talking about right ? I'm not worried, just don't wan't to see everything there is going down ..., just because some PPL do very low profit Cheesy

We might have own Joincoin webwallet soon.
This CryptoDAO webwallet might be better suitable for non-mining users and for promotion to start.
We have to. The Cryptos world is moving very fast.

In the coming 1-2 weeks, I might start a promotional thread for Joincoin in order to keep information very timely. All mining and network issues should be left here.  Cheesy

Great Job Wink

It is interesting to note that  Joincoin has been traded at TradeSatoshi since at least January 2017.
