Stumbled upon this coin again (i mined it a little bit in may), and i have a few questions :

- the inflation of 3.7% will mean that any coins you hold will be worth 3.7% less after a year.  Why would anyone then want to own jacpotcoin? To offset the loss, you would have to have a wallet open all the time (to get 3.7% interest) is that correctly understood?  if you keep a wallet open on a running pc, all the time, with all your money in it, then you will not lose value (but i guess risk that someone hacks the computer and steals the coins).  If you use brainwallet, then you lose 3.7% a  year, and would be better off having gold or some crypto that does not degenerate in value over time.

- the cpu miner in the OP gives me a virus/trojan warning minerd.exe conmtaining the virus or unwanted program TR/Rogue.11354128

this is not the same kind of warning i get with most other cpu miners, there i get a warning that it's a crypto coin miner - so  - is the cpu miner with some sort of badass backdor inside?

- the blockchain is getting REALLY big - it has taken me like 10 hours of download, and i'm not there yet, still 380K blocks missing. Are there plans to try to fix this problem, i guess with new blocks coming in so often, perhaps the blockchain will grow to a size that is a problem for the coin?

looking at OP, it seems there is quite some infrastructure in place, and one would like to give the coin a chance, i have some GPUs and CPUs idle sinec i started mining harddrives with BURST, so why not try to win the jackpot?

very good points raised, especially the blockchain size.  Actually, I'd go ahead and up my bounty to 1 million (1,000,000 JPC) if there was a dev able to tackle these objectives.

I'll also put in 1 million JPC and I am willing to put in even more if needed. Smiley

With all those alt coins around, many people are afraid to invest in a coin when there is no 24/7 dev support. Even with JPC, which still works great and super fast. The good thing is, that there is nothing broken which needs to be fixed, so we can wait a little and hope that a new dev can be found.

I agree completely.  If there was a way to reliably bounty a dev, I'd contribute to that for sure.  I'd personally be able to contribute 500k ish to a dev fund as long as there was a way to make sure it was going to the right person.

well, the current client still works great for me, so this coin is still alive and healthy. but I agree that it would be great to have a few new features and a dedicated team to make sure it will stay that way in the future.

Community is not large enough. Market Cap proves that. I like the concept of this coin but I seem to be in the minority.
