you know with the amount of guys that pop up on a regular basis claiming the wallet will not sync with no connections
it's really been making wonder..
Wonder if their fishing for IP address for a few different reasons.
It's weird from my point of view because i see no problem at all EVER with connections on my end there is shit loads !
And i have occasionally re-downloaded the block chain after deleting my roaming folder too with no .conf at all either.
So i want to warn guys to be careful posting a list of nodes or connection info or IP addresses.
People out there may have malicious purposes.. the main page has enough connection info to get started.
I see no reason why that shouldn't work.. i would be cautious about handing data to random 0 post count noobs.
edit:
And by the way you guys all have to use the newest wallet.
Running an old version may get you ignored on the network.. there has been forks in the past.
If your talking about me, let me explain now that I have some free time. Yesterday, I noticed I had no connections for JPC. I did what I thought I needed to do to get my connections back before running off to work. Upon returning from work, I found out that I have 6 wallets with no connections.
I use "malwarebytes" program for web protection, and I have included all nodes listed by the above people and from the first page, but I still have 0 connections on JPC. My antivirus program shows no blocking activity for any of the nodes. Even when I shut malwarebytes completely down, I have no connections.
Seeing how you like to quickly jump to conclusions, what is your conclusion on my wallet problem? Please dont feel the need to release any information that I could hack cryptoland with....your paranoid enough I think.
Haha, don't worry about him. He claimed he was leaving as well but he obviously has not
I don't have all of those connections in my conf either, but thought it might help you. Since it doesn't, if I were you I would backup the wallet.dat and then rename the jackpotcoin folder under your user's roaming folder. Then I would just start fresh and download the latest wallet, let it create new folders in roaming, wait to see if it gets any connections, and then if it does, just let it download the whole chain. If it works normally, you can just close the wallet and drop your backed up wallet.dat back in that folder and then reopen the wallet and it should all be back to normal.
If you still have no connections on a fresh setup, there's something up with your security settings, network, router, whatever.
