If there is 9 billion to be mined in next 3 months and there is already 59B mined, the sell pressure will not be high. The % to be mined compared to already mined is not high. With X11 people more people can mine, more will hold. ASIC scrypt miners will not dump that fast to pay the investments. Check the spreads, holders are not selling, there are sell orders over 300 litoshi, everything under that has almost no volume. There is lot of new buy orders today. I think many people will mine and hold. Also KARMA is so impressive concept that many new people will come. I personally plan to buy more KARMA and if it stays at 3 satoshi for a week I will definitely buy at that price than. The drop from 600 to 220 was too fast, market will reject to drop lower. I expect return to 250-300 litoshi soon.

I agree with you.. I just posted in the primecoin thread a few days ago asking for nodes because I couldn't sync my newly installed wallet which came directly from the website.
nobody has yet replied..

how is that any way to get people join the community?

there are a lot of crypto coins that have no concept of the idea of community... they benefited in the early days because they had few competitors but now they are suffering because of their hubris.

to this I can only say.. be thankful that you were able to mine so many coins when the difficulty was low and the coin reward was high.
you can still put your asics to good use, Scrypt will never die even if coins like Karma stop using it... and you now have a healthy stash of coins which you can either cash some in for a profit or use to help grow the economy.

you haven't been abandoned by karma even though you soon wont be able to mine it with your asics because the value of the coins you hold will continue to rise in the longer term as long as the community continues to grow so please feel free to become a more active participant in this community.


I spent a bucketload of karma supporting the karmaworldcup when the karma price was around 80 litoshi... its now well over 200... I did not expect that I was going to make any money.. and I certainly did not expect the price of karma to go up to a high of 600 litoshi (otherwise I would not have bet so much).... I just did it because it looked like a good cause to support.

now brazil the team that most people bet on has lost.. so it looks like I might actually get some coins back from my bets.. if I do end up turning a profit from the world cup then I will make sure I re invest more karma back into the community...

I have supported this coin from almost day one and I will continue to do so as long as the community sticks to its core beliefs, those fundamental ideas of supporting the crypto revolution and rewarding people for doing good works..

I wholeheartedly believe that Karma is more about education and promoting good works than it is about making people rich quickly and this is why I am here.

there will always be people who do not agree with every decision that is made.. I certainly have disagreed many many times... but at the end of the day you just have to look at where we are now and where we have come from to see if you like where we are going....

karma has been a very interesting ride for me and I am hoping that it continues to be well into the future.

Concerning KARMA's downward sell pressure due to mining.   In three months we will have our largest percent and final decrease in rewards.  35,000 will drop by 72% to a meager 10,000.   The reward level will then remain constant until all coins are finally released in February 2020. 

We just passed 59B KARMA and have yet another 9B to absorb over the next 3+ months.  That's still a ton of coins, then we will be at a stable point for KARMA.  Until then, we will continue to see that constant downward sell pressure which is built into PoW to maintain our network.  Kosmost has a thread concerning this here on KarmaShares forum.

We need to steer this focus on the price to productive action which will boost the price naturally.

From someone who preordered a $10,000 KNC Titan Scrypt miner months ago and might or might not get it in time to even ROI, I feel your pain and admire your loyalty. But in the end we have to do what will be best in the long run for the future of Karma. There is nothing wrong with mining other coins and buying Karma as we would be helping to take loose coins from weak hands and dumpers and securing them in our wallets. Another avenue I will explore is possibly selling my hash power from my asics to rentals and taking the BTC i get and buying Karma.

I for one will be very sad when this ^^^^ happens. I got rid of all my high wattage GPUs and built a LOW WATTAGE ASIC farm and have been mining KARMA none stop. Not selling any of the coins I mine. So when KARMA moves away from SCRYPT, I will be forced to mine something else. I cannot begin to describe how sad this makes me.

I have to say... I feel like I am being punished for putting my faith in a coin, that actually succeeded.

Post 3318 a community member posted a problem with our wallet not more than three post later the problem is already being addressed. There are businesses around the world that don't have that level of service and dedication. Keep up the awesome work.

Burying Karma for later is not going to really help build Karma or the movement.  Literally and otherwise, Karma should be used to pass it forward.  There needs to be more to do with Karma if it is to sustain this momentum.

Those people constantly talking about "price" are suspect......I am referring to those that when they come out of the woodwork and peek their heads out from their hiding holes...the topic typically leads back to something about "price" with them. The Karma/KarmaShares/KarmX hardcore and committed are here for the long haul.

And yes, for the record I DO care about "price". But can you reasonably expect to turn a $100 bill into $100,000 in short order? In just a few short months? Let's be reasonable and have perspective and confidence in what we are implementing will be some of Cryptos' greatest accomplishments in time.

Patience and Commitment please.    

This begins to feel like groundhog day. Karma has now been through its like 3rd or 4th "bubble" and every time its the same. "OMG we've gone down to 3-4 satoshi"? 4 weeks ago everybody here would have been THRILLED to be at 3-4 satoshi. Even if we do go down to the 2-3 range Karma's still up month on month. I said it before: what goes up must come down. It is completely normal for the market to retract after such a big increase.

With all the stuff that's in the pipeline for Karma and Karmashares you can be certain this will not the last time people start panic buying Karma. Just relax, place a few low buy orders and hope they hit. Load up for the future, a few months from now we'll laugh at this price.
