You can mine some nice karma with you CPU while you do other stuff. above is a detailed step. a bit of a messy text but it should show each step. eventually i will clean this up a bit and make it more enjoyable to read. : )

Some easy steps for miners :

1. Download newest optimized CPU miner , i recomend pooler's https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/an-even-more-optimized-version-of-cpuminer-poolers-cpuminer-cpu-only-55038

2. set up a .bat file in the same folder root that you unziped the above miner. In my example i am using altcoin's pool as
Code:
"minerd -a scrypt -o stratum+tcp://p2pool.altcoin.dk:9435 -u -p "

3.HuhHuh

4. Moon !

Yes.. it's amazing what some people expect within a short amount of time.

We have done AMAZING things in the past few weeks. A lots of firsts, too. And this is only the beginning.

Karmacoin was introduced in February. The new team just started working from about March 4.

Please do not expect everything to be working 100% at this point. Everything is in beta, even if it doesn't scream out "BETA"

Personally, and as stated a few times, I like to move fast and break things, re-iterate, get feedback, and evolve the product/service.

For me, if it's not broken that means you haven't really touched it.

When things are "final" and ready for prime time you will know. But it's not now (of course). We are still in infancy.

If you would like to do more than typing on this forum and help on Karma or any project, please feel free to let me know.

I want to toss out a huge thanks to you for what you've done for the project. I've been following a lot of other coins lately, and pretty much all of them are under the impression that all you have to do is release a coin and it will gain value. You've been doing what I keep trying to push others to do: MAKE the coin gain value.

With that said, I do have a question. What do we need to do to claim the Karmashares for what's in our wallet? Do we need to contact you with a signature to link up our BTC address or how does that work?

I'm going to buy more Karm now!

To the miners that are mining Karm in my pool:
I will try my best to attract more miners to make the block discovery more frequent.

pool.terahashers.com

After 24 hours of problem free use and payment on time I would like to officially endorse this pool as the best pool I have tried to date.

My address KMSoy will continue to mine with this pool until it is no longer profitable to GPU mine 😎

I am thinking of some kind of altcoins video presentations or interviews. Something like Youtube channel. Or try to put it on Hireplex if possible. And not only Karma, but most of the popular altcoins. Some alliance can be made and members of development teams can present their vision, mission, achievements, goals and overall the whole ecosystem/economy via telebridge. This can be presented as independent altcoin studio or something. Is there something like that already? I only find videos of alternative crypto currencies overall. I think this would be very good way our dev team to shine in full scale.

Alliances between coins are a great idea, but they haven't been working out too well. I do agree with the video channel, though. It could tie in all of Karma's properties as well to help build a bigger following.

OK. We can drop alliances. Grin I am wondering how we can attract attention from crypto world at first place. Then spread influence and attract outside investors. Tony for example has unique ability to express himself and I don`t think that we should leave him to catch a breath. Wink Damn, I wish I was native English speaker.

Karma's projects should help out a lot with things. If they are spread out by the community, it will spark interest. The search engine with its rewards will be a major part, and I liken it to things like SwagBucks, which is also pretty popular. Things should continue up from there.

Karma has a very bright future and the best time to buy is now.

Very true, although the exchanges would have you believe now is the time to sell, :p. I think people are going to be very upset when they realize they sold out cheap and the projects become profitable. It doesn't take that much at this point to earn more than you invested.

I agree, people need to remember that the Karmashares LLC has only been formed for only a few weeks and as the biggest advocates of Karma have already done more to promote Karma than anyone ells in the entire existents of the coin. If this much attention has already been brought back to Karma in such a short time imagine how much exposure Karma will have in the world after a few months, especially after projects in the works start hitting the public.  Karma has a very bright future and the best time to buy is now.

Saw a news piece on Scrypt Asics today - 8MH/s for $350 on a single pci express card pulling 40 watts coming as soon as July. If we put aside POS from the discussion we should at least talk about switching to a more Asic resistant alg - It might buy us a year but its better than getting hammered and dumped to hell.

I don't think we are in danger of being hammered and dumped because in order to sell coins you have to have buyers and most of the buyers are holding on to their coins so the coins are not recycled. If anything these asics will just make it easier for people to buy coins and bring the diff up making it harder to mine them. In the end the coin will not be hurt, it will be the small miner that will truly feel the pain.  Even then all they have to do is mine a different coin or algo with higher mining rewards and then just covert them to LTC and then buy Karma increasing the daily volume, at the same time taking the coins out of the hands of dumpers and holding them in their wallet for the shares benefit. And if all ells fails just buy a asic and mine karma. As long as you are not a dumper you will be making it harder for dumpers to profit. Once the value goes up high enough and the volume levels steady out, more coins will be held within our ecosystem and less will be dumped in big chunks.

I see your point, but I continue to say that if all people that believe in Karma mined it, then the interest of other miners would skyrocket.
Basically, difficult goes up very fast -> Everyone goes crazy and the price shoots up

Not that it is imperative in the long run...

Ah, so it's a card-based profit. I run a 7950 which is around 250w (based on what others said) and is 1.3 MH/s...

Using your card is cost effective for Scrypt, but not that much for x11.

At least for right now. I'm about to the break-even point as it is. It's soon (due to Scrypt ASICs) no longer going to be profitable.

Thanks. That is an excellent idea.

We should all do it!

Both of these types are far less than profitable right now. Scrypt is the only coin I can mine with a GPU and make back electric costs, and that is about to be a no-go as well. X11/-N are both less rewarding.

x11 is rewarding if you have a NVIDIA 750 Ti.
There has been reports of 2~3 MH/s, while consuming less that 40 watts...
Also the card costs less than 140 euros.
