Because our ICO site isn't working for everyone we will do another payout after it is working.

@KomodoPlatform, thanks! Do you know if it will be later today or another day?

https://ico.komodoplatform.com/ seems to be rejecting my email.
Says "Email not registered" even though I got a confirmation by email.

Trying to swap my BTCD for KMD.

Any one else having this problem?

Yes, we found there was a problem on our end. We are now trying to fix it, but the original developer is no longer working for us. I'll keep you updated.

Anyone else who needs to swap BTCD can PM me.

I'm having the same issue. Any update?

I bought 1500 KMD (Komodo) coins months back when it was like 8 cents or something dumb and today I find out it is trading at $1.08. Open up the wallet last night and find that there's a bug in their official wallet that gives you two different deposit addresses - the second one is the valid one, the first is a dummy address. To receive the correct address you have to create the wallet, log out and then log in again. The password you create upon making a new address is associated with the second address. That's how I found out I sent the KMD to the dummy address.

So there ya go internet, there's $1500 worth of KMD out there in an unknown wallet for ya. This is gonna be so sick when this coin hits $25. It's not even being traded on any of the major exchanges yet. I may have become the guy who lost a million USD worth of KMD in ten years.

Good luck hunting for it folks, dunno if it's hackable but there is some KMD floating out in the ether.
Bittrex is considered the 2nd biggest altcoin exchange out there. But, yeah, if we get on POLO things will certainly heat up even more.

Yeah, the only thing preventing me from feeling too bad over this is that I got into Ethereum at $14 and Monero at $18. Was really soured on Monero after the stunt they pulled a few weeks back though and was happy I had another privacy based crypto as a backup. Then I ran into the Agama bug....

KOMODO SWING WALLET
A normal Komodo Wallet. Contains no advanced tech, and is thus currently more reliable than the Agama Wallet.

Recommended for use before Agama Wallet matures. Remember to backup your wallet.dat file.

https://forum.supernet.org/t/komodo-swing-wallet-for-windows-and-osx/48

Anyone who's having issues with Agama Wallet please use this wallet.

P.S. Earlier we had updated our FAQ questions: https://komodoplatform.com/faq/

My Swing wallet is taking a long time to sync and the progress is pretty much stuck at 92.46%... I don't see my sent KMD coin in my wallet. Any way there to speed up the syncing please?

meh, only means everyone elses stash is more valuable as less coins are traded. good for us all.

in the meantime, i hope to see komodo devs making their wallet absolutely solid as these sorts of mistakes will deter serious investment. as a nem investor in the early days the komodo team could really learn alot from how the nem devs go about their deals and pr with investors.

First and foremost i hope they get komodo on polo and other exchanges, while pushing hard against similar anon cryptos and showing that komodo is a trustworthy and solid alternative. Until they get these wallet issues ironed out though, this simply won't be.

Can someone pls define Komodo accurately?
Also can you tell what the real value of Komodo is?

The "real" value is whatever it is selling for on the market currently.  Anything else is a guess.

However, as an opinion, this coin should grow significantly when it all starts coming together, which should be soon.

Understand...even though it's hard to guess but I was looking for [Market Value - Amount of Speculation] ~ [Value of Tech]?

Well, as someone who watches many of these projects and is very interested in what coins will do and become, I will say that since the beginning with this Dev, I have thought that what he wants to build is on par with , or even better than, DASH and ETH as far as how it should impact the coin world.  It has to come together and work right to get there, but like I said before, it looks like that is getting closer.

I think that this undertaking is much more complicated than the other two and being done with far less resources.  But, that is the beauty of Crypto.  New innovation can be done by anyone.

This particular system that is being built should create a usable platform for not only trading coins, but connecting ideas as well.  Something along the lines of ETH for that aspect.  And, like DASH, should be profitable for those who hold the KMD.  A little bit of both types of systems.

But, having said all that, the MOST important factor is a Dev and team that will be here for the future.  Put your money into good people.  The tech will follow......

Well, I know the fact that BTCD is no longer developed. All devs switched to Komodo project. I asked because you still can swap 1 BTCD to 50 KMD. And if 1 BTCD is around 40% off the value of 50 KMD something is strange. In the past months, the price of one BTCD and 50 KMD were pretty much the same with few exceptions. That's why I wondered about this big gap.

Why is there so much difference between the Komodo and BitcoinDark price. Bitcoindark is around 40% cheaper than the value you get when you swap it to Komodo? Did I miss something?

BTCD has no devs, no new development, no real future. KMD is bound to swap BTCD at a 1:50 ratio until 2018 so that's fixed no matter what the value of KMD.

It must hit at least 5usd in this year and it will become the top 10 coinmarket .
Many investors will feel regretful about this selling KMD at this time.

According to the swap calculator on the kmd websit, the actual swap rate is 1 BTCD to 32.78 KMD.  Am I missing something?
What is swap calculator? LOL
Right there on the swap details it says:
"More Info
1 BTCD = 49.418916340677505 KMD"

He must meant this Smiley

No, actually that is not what I meant.  Here is the link to the "Komodo ICO Calculator".  You will see  on the bottom right side of the xls spreadsheet there is a calculator for the BTCD to KMD swap:

https://komodoplatform.com/downloads/kmdcalculator.xls

That's weird  Undecided
