Got a question for the team:

Has anyone informed the developers/coin communities of all the coins supported by the iguana wallet that their coin is included?  Would be nice way to bring in more users if that hasn't already been done.

It is part of our marketing plan to extend our hand out to these coin communities.   Let's get a stable Iguana out first though shall we?

Sure, a stable wallet is definitely important.  But there are some benefits in reaching out to these coin communities early on:
1) there will be more people testing and reporting bugs, which will lead to getting a stable and bug free wallet faster
2) the coin communities may feel like they are actually a part of the development process, which will foster better relationships

It seems like up to this point, the marketing team has always been about waiting and waiting till the "right moment".  I don't know if a "right moment" actually exists as everything is so dynamic.  Maybe a good thing to get things rolling sooner rather than later.  But that's just my opinion.

IS there a wallet for KMD on windows?

All the downloads can now be found from our website also: https://supernet.org/en/products/iguana

I downloaded this wallet but it shows "unable to connect 127.0.0.1:7778" when I use Komodo in full mode but it's normal in basilik mode and sometime it does not show the balance. I think it has got some bugs in the iguana . When is the Komodo available in bittrex or polo exchange?

Hi Dev, When will the Mac Basilisk mode wallet be available?

                                        Wink

The Mac version was published on GitHub, but we didn't include it on the website yet as there are known bugs: https://github.com/SuperNETorg/iguana/releases/

We will soon publish new beta release, which has a lot of bug fixes.

Hi Dev, Thanks!

Any email for komodo support, please?
I've not received my komodo in Iguana.
Thanks

First time I had the same problem as you, After checking my seed,   you must enter the password with    the space    for each word of seed to get the correct wallet.

My problem has been sending them to the seed. The seed address is similar to the address related to it.
It does not give error to put the seed and sends them, but they do not arrive.

You can check whatever the coins are really there from our block explorer KPX.

If you are unable to see your balance with the Iguana app there could be some bug. Also make sure you inserted your seed correctly and there are no extra spaces or typos.

You could also try a different mode, for example the 'full mode' on windows has some known issues. We will release a new beta version soon.

Noobie question, komodo looks more ambitious and advanced than most other alt coins, is there a foundation running things like there is with ethereum? What governance procedures are in place?

Komodo and Iguana are projects developed by SuperNET. We are a horizontally structured organization with a strong community.

If you want to make an impact and be part of what we do, simply join our Slack and start contributing. Smiley

If you have a project idea for the komodo ecosystem, I encourage you to post details in the SuperNET slack. If the idea has merit, odds are very good that you will quickly find people who will fund it.

The komodo ecosystem has the SuperNET organization behind it, but it is a fully decentralized organization. That means anybody can join at any time and become a key contributor. And we are very open to new people and new ideas and new projects.

Dont be shy. Most of the key contributors you see, initially were outside the SuperNET and just by doing what they like doing, they are now key contributors. Even if you dont have a specific project, there are many preexisting projects within SuperNET that you can contribute toward. Key contributors are certainly rewarded, usually with stakes in the projects they are working on, but there are many things that are able to pay in KMD and maybe even BTC.

On iguana windows wallet i chosen full mode after synchronising , easydex wallet showed up when i try to login i get (seems like there is no coin running. Activating btc)

It has been said that there might be some issues with the full mode on Windows, and that it might be better/easier to use Basilisk mode instead.

Receive Free Coins: Quaranteed KMD Interest

Do you hold KMD? We have news for you: you are earning interest! The best part is that even your cold storage address buried 10 feet into the ground is accumulating more precious KMD.

"To collect the interest simply send the KMD to a new address, and then you are credited with new coins!"

So i just must create a new wallet with new seed and send my komodo there from old wallet ?
Can't we use a better term than "interest"?.This is certainly not similar to a Bank interest where we earn interest by Bank lending our money to others.

True, which term would you suggest? Staking is not a good term, because this is not staking.

Describing it as interest has it good sides: everyone understand what we are talking about and it is somewhat accurate.
Yes technically it is not staking but it is not interest either and using interest also creates confusion but you are right as there is no appropriate word for it,you have no option.

I'm running Iguana on Windows with KMD in Basilisk mode, I have some questions:
- Under Basilisk there are three options, two of which are "advertise you address" (or something like that, I don't have access to the app right now) and "verify your address". Can anyone please explain what would the effect be if I clicked on any of them?
Thank you.

In slack grewalsatinder has written the following:

Quote
Validate make sure the address of wallet is added to Notary Nodes network. In technical terms it is imported as watchonly address in notary nodes.

Register does importaddress as watchonly on notary nodes.

I am not exactly sure of what it means but it's the only explanation I found

So it is "register" and "validate" ^^.

Thanks for the reply. I, too, don't quite understand the explanation Smiley. My understanding is that both "import address as watchonly on notary nodes", so no difference? Yet I don't understand the effect of that import ...
