The BTCD deposit & swap feature will be online soon! We still don't have a date for it, but we will announce it as soon as it is ready.

This is a heads up for all BTCD investors: you will have 7 days to deposit the BTCD. After 7 days we will take the BTCD snapshot, so by then you must have your BTCD in a local wallet or in our ICO site. Don't keep your BTCD in an exchange or as a Nxt asset (SuperBTCD).

day 0 - BTCD can be deposited to ICO site
day 7 - BTCD snapshot for REVS asset

This was just a heads up - the feature is not online yet - so you cannot deposit BTCD yet.

Sorry , I didn't catch up... when komodo on exchange?

I coded up a low level broadcast service utilizing the notary nodes. Still need to debug it, but it shouldnt take too long. DEX will use this to propagate orderbooks.

It uses a combination of scaling protocols to create a generalized broadcast, where from any node you can submit a packet and all the other nodes get a copy of it. It is load balanced so as not to overload any single point and with all the notary nodes having decent hardware and bandwidth, the max capacity would be limited only by available bandwidth.

This is pretty cool, but creates a problem because it is so easy to invoke. Namely spam, which must be prevented.

I am planning to use one of the assetchain coins as the currency needed to pay for such broadcasting. Since most all of the SuperNET services will be using this, I think it makes sense to denominate the broadcast fees in SuperNET assetchain coins. With a cost of 0.0001 coins, the cost is minimal, but still enough to prevent spam.

The way things are structured, the payments of the SuperNET assetchain coin would go to the crypto777 account so it is automatically marked as a special tx and the current codebase can add support for this with minimal extra work.

I am still open to feedback on this as I havent coded it yet. The downside is that we will probably need some sort of SuperNET faucet to onboard new users, but all the micropayments will be fully automated like I did with the notary nodes. That codebase can be reused for the micropayments

We haven't announced the exact date yet.

The initial schedule was ~2 weeks after ICO. Right now it looks like it will be delayed a little bit.

The BTCD swap feature should be ready soon, and after that everyone can send their BTCD to our ICO site. The timetable looks something like this:

 -> BTCD deposit process begins
   - we must wait several days (possibly a week) that everyone has enough time to deposit their BTCD
 -> BTCD blockchain snapshot
 -> Voting starts
   - during this process BTC and BTCD investors will vote & redeem their KMD

We would like to have easy installers and Komodo wallet ready when we launch. Satinder has said that the Komodo wallet (in EasyDEX GUI) is ready, but it has to be compiled. Right now they are working on a single executable/installer. For this there is no set date, but the team is working on it hard and it should be ready soon.

All in all there are a lot of moving parts still, so we cannot promise any date. The network is running, as our testnet actually became a mainnet. We just need to wait for these various parts to be completed, and then we can announce the final schedule for elections and KMD redeems.

I think I don't have an account on the ICO platform because I want to swap BTCD, but it seems as if I can't create an account any more because the ICO is finished.
Do I have to send my BTCD for the swap to a specific BTCD address instead of keep them in my old BTCD address?

I just successfully created a new ICO account.

Try a hard refresh (shift + F5)

It should work.

Thank you for your information. I will check it now.
when is KMD available on bittrex or polo exchange?

I believe that is up to the exchanges and certainly, after the main net launch and coins are distributed.

I am one of the investors who didn't register on the ico website because I didn't invest with Bitcoin but I am going to swap my Btcd. Should I register too and create a Kmd address and seed? Or will there be different instructions for the swappers? Thanks

Just to be sure, the pass phrase is the 12 random words that was given when i first signed-up to the ico website, correct?
Hi, yes you are right. It's the seed you received when you signed up. If you don't have it, you can reset your seed. Make sure you save  and protect the new one.

Many of you know of the SuperNET and JL777's contribution to the creation of Komodo Platform and the SuperNET.

Recently, the official ICO culminated. In the coming weeks the SuperNET team will announce an election day. When this happens you will be able to access your Komodo coins and vote for your chosen Notary Nodes.

For those who hold Komodo and are planning on voting. I would like to ask for your vote. I currently have 2 servers that are ready to go. One is awaiting ratification to notarize on the testnet, so in the meantime it's mining at regular difficulty. I am fully committed to this project and I'm willing to go above and beyond the call of duty. To read more about me and my proposal you can visit my profile below

Throwing my hat into the ring for the upcoming Komodo Notary Node Election.

About Me:

Hello, I’m polycryptoblog, Administrative Assistant at Komodo and long-time SuperNET supporter.

I believe that I would make a good notary node due to my dedication to the project for several years as well as running a notary node on the testnet for the past month.
In addition, I am working with my service provider to maintain a secure and stable server to add structure to the Komodo network.
You should vote for me in this election due to my position on how notary mining rewards should be spent.  100% of Komodo generated in excess of server maintenance costs will be reinvested into developing initiatives to further aid the growth and expansion of our young network.

Region: North America
Subsidy Requested:  50%
Testnet KMD mined: 5377
