A lot of people have asked this, so let's clarify it one more time:

- for the KMD swap there is no need to have it in a local wallet, as you have one full year to do the swap
- to get the revenue asset it must be in a local wallet. The BTCD snapshot will be taken before the swapping begins.

so in other words, you can keep your BTCDs in an exchange (but lose the free asset), or then you can send them to a local wallet by the end of the ICO and get rewarded with the additional REV asset.
