Will Stratis consider using Komodo's dPoW to additionally secure its mainchain and private chains with Bitcoin's hashrate?

That is a very good question!

I have worked with jl777 before and he is a very talented developer and I have got a lot of time form James.

I know he gets a lof of slack from people but one thing that cannot be denied is his skills: he is a very skilled developer and very skilled around blockchain. I have spoken with him about a dPoW and what I will say is we are definitely considering providing dPoW functionality on private chains.

Whatever we actually think about implementing it in the actual Stratis parent chain... Probably not but it would definitely be a very cool feature to offer on private chains. If a private chain was secured by the Stratis chain and also secured by dPoW it would actually give it a two-factor consensus model. They wouldn't be relying on just one form of consensus to validate the blockchain, but it would actually have two methods. It gives them additional redundancy so it is definitely something we are going to look into.

I really like Komodo and the concept behind it and dPoW.

Stratis has made money for all her investors I hope Komodo do the same.

what bounty for this coin?facebook , twitter campaign, translation? I join signature for now
Vietnam reverse bounty ?

We made some translations and now there are no further translation bounties. Our team also made a decision that there won't be any social media bounties.

One thing we have is a newsletter lottery campaign! Just simply subscribe and there is a change for you to win KMD coins.

We sure have a plenty of progress going on at Komodo platform.

White Paper?

Cheers Jon Huh

We have planned a small social media campaign around the time when we publish the white paper. More information about it later this week.

The white paper is now finished, and we have a designer who will make it pretty. We will publish it around October 5th.

I have been working on getting atomic cross chain swaps fully working for quite a while. The protocol details are described in:  https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1364951

With help and inspiration from Tier Nolan, today was the first automated atomic swap including redeems via the following transactions triggered by:

curl --url "http://127.0.0.1:7778" --data "{\"agent\":\"InstantDEX\",\"method\":\"request\",\"vals\":{\"source\":\"BTCD\",\"amount\":0.1,\"dest\":\"BTC\",\"minprice\":0.004}}"

(*)The bobpayment and alicespend of it was from a different test run

Now there are still the timeout cases to get working, but the hardest part has been to get all the mainstream spends of the custom transactions working. Now it is ready for a GUI to be made for it so end users can submit conversion requests to the LP nodes from the browser.

On the Liquidity Provider side, there is more work to do but the framework is in place for any node to signup to be an LP node with a customizable profit margin for each coin.
curl --url "http://127.0.0.1:7778" --data "{\"agent\":\"tradebot\",\"method\":\"amlp\"}"
curl --url "http://127.0.0.1:7778" --data "{\"agent\":\"tradebot\",\"method\":\"liquidity\",\"targetcoin\":\"BTCD\",\"vals\":{\"profit\":0.005}}"

A cool thing is all during this "weekend's" testing of the atomic swaps, I didnt have to reset the notary nodes at all. They ran all the time and properly handled all the comms.

I have a question about participating in the Komodo ICO, I have BTCD, will i need transfer the BTCD from an exchange to the BTCD wallet or can I do the swap from my BTCD exchange address.

Just to add, the reason why you would withdraw to your wallet is because a snap shot will be taken at the end of the ICO period. This snapshot is used to allocate the rev share for the BTCD holders. Even though exchanges should pass on the assets, i would avoid the hassle and just use a wallet you control.
I assume there haven't been any announcements yet from exchanges regarding this?

No, and we strongly recommend everyone to send their BTCD to a local wallet. We do not yet know when we will be able to create that revenue asset as it will require asset chains.

Today we have made a list of changes we will do for the bitcoindark.com website and soon our guy will implement them.

We also have made a complete guide that goes step by step the process of installing the bitcoindark-QT wallet, and sending coins from an exchange to the wallet.

The guide will be published at the same time we update the bitcoindark.com website.

Thanks for answering polycryptoblog, but after a few hours of trying I don't get anywhere. I give up trying to download this wallet for the time being. Hopefully there will be another one easier to download later on.

So all the average poloniex trader need to do is to go to this thread, jump to page 45, follow the tech instructions (and if you are not a tech user, it's time to become one) and transfer your btcd to your local wallet.
And that assumes you, as a trader on polo have heard of komodo at all.

Here's another idea: Update the btcd 1.0 wallet to work after installation, so normal users can use it too. Maybe even have a working link on the website?

If you don't, expect some serious critisism after the snapshot from users who did not know or was not able to complete the steps above.

We have made a step-by-step guide on how to transfer your BTCD to a local wallet. It is 95 % ready and we will publish it soon.

We are also working on the bitcoindark.com website.

You should download the BTCD wallet
I have never been able to download the BTCD wallet. Where did you get yours?
On bitcoindark.com it says "download soon", how long means "soon"?
I have bought BTCD on NXT AE and they're useless if I can't get a working wallet.
I thought I had a working wallet and made the mistake to send 100 BTCD to an address given by this wallet but I only had one active connection and didn't get a single block for 2 weeks I had this wallet open.
Has anyone else had any issues with their wallet?
I have a recent computer with windows 10 (64bits).
Thanks for helping if you have any clue what to do.
