..like bright metal on a sullen ground.

Yes, you will need a LCC wallet to get LCC coins using your LTC private keys.   To be safe move your LTC to a temporary wallet and sweep the LTC private keys from the empty LTC wallet  in to the LCC wallet.  Once you are done you can move your LTC  back to the original wallet.  Result is 2 wallets. One with LTC and one with LCC. Good Luck!!!

wow dude, when we don't know we don't give advice, specialy about security

you need a new wallet, don't send back your ltc in the wallet where you provided the  private key for claim your lcc
this advice works for any fork coin
may be the team is legit, but why takes so much risk?
you need less 5mn for create a new wallet

When you move the LTC back to the original wallet new private keys are generated. You don't use the old keys (so there was nothing wrong with my advice!)
For security, yes I agree using a "burner" wallet to hold LTC would work too.

Depends on the wallet. I'd definitely make a new one so that all private keys exposed to the LCC wallet (or any other project's forked wallet) are completely purged from the LTC wallet.

Have my lcc in my wallet (had private keys to ltc, which i then moved) where can i sell/trade LCC really? Yobit doesnt allow deposits?  Huh

BETA: Use at your own risk

You can now exchange BTC to LCC in https://litecoinca.sh/img/exchanges/meanxtrade.png

https://meanxtrade.com/
https://meanxtrade.com/trade/btc/lcc

I've already bought it today from meanxtrade over 2500 LCC  and mined only  80.98904487 in Last Day.

Can you confirm your able to successfully withdraw out of this?

its really good to see that Litecoin is finally having a fork... i just waited a couple years for it and i think it really was worth to hold all the ways up and down. i just took some profit while the spikes but not to much.

Not listed on CMC yet, hard to guess where the price will go but im going to be the pessimist and say that it will end up in the $1-$3 range, hope im wrong but I cant imagine it holding at these levels once the flood gates are open for deposits and everyone can dump their coins.

Also expect like 29384723948273 required confirmations on top of the wait to get your coins to an exchange....this is the last fork where i redeem on a wallet, from now on im always using an exchange i dont care about the risk, sick of waiting to get 1/4 the price per coin that i could have got if i just held on an exchange.

Hi guys,

I am trying to access my LCC. I have imported my private keys from the wallets they were held in. But my PC doesnt have the disk space for the blockchain to download. I have the blockchain now downloading on another PC that has the space.

BUT, when I tried to enter the private key into the 2nd PC, its telling me that it is "not a litecoin/litecoincash private key". When it is.

Anyone have any ideas how to go about this?

Thank you.
Was it Segwit? I think I read here before something about it.

TBH im not sure if it was segwit. Theres a post on the LCC Twitter saying how to import private keys. Ill chance it.

Facing same issue too
Wait for other exchanges. The price won't be much lower probably.

Hope you guys can help with some clarification or instructions.  I've had LTC in Coinbase prior to the fork, did I miss out on LCC here?  I can't seem to find any coherent info as it relates to Coinbase.  Thanks in advance.

I can't be the only one in this situation... Can someone suggest a better place to ask this question or find the answer?  Coinbase support has been no help. The instructions on Litecoinca.sh state to wait until after the fork, which seemed to be the safest option.  But, I'm still up against not having my private keys. Thanks.

Coinbase did not support the fork.   You will not get any LCC.   Better luck next time!

Suprnova is perfectly fine, nicehash Port was updated as well.

You might check the other pools as well, you'll notice you'll earn the same.
Hint: check the difficulty of the latest blocks...

Mine wherever you feel comfortable

Just to compare:

Supernova:

Multipool:

Can u explain? Huh

Its a estimation what you could get. But your shares are all count so you get what you earn.

Hey,

if anyone needs help with multipools.club feel free to pm me on discord or telegram. (@miguelpt)

Thanks

Sorry to say if you had your coins in any exchange other than the ones on the litecoinca.sh website at the current time you will not be able to claim your free coins.
If this coin does well in the future and is sustainable there will be pressure on the big exchanges to give users their coins, sim to what happen when people started to threaten coinbase with lawsuits to get their bitcoin cash. Good luck hopefully things will pick up once its able to trade.

Before we talk of exchange can we help other members like me on how to sync their litecoincash wallet, it will take me a year or two before I can finally sync my wallet, by then this coin is dead I am stuck to 6 years to go since day one.

Download bootstrap.dat from the Litecoin Cash website, unzip and put it in data dir, when sync is finished you can delete it.

Name a text file litecoincash.conf, insert the following and copy it to data dir.

Code:
addnode=91.128.161.204
addnode=73.232.159.131
addnode=69.123.49.160
addnode=178.200.236.205
addnode=66.69.246.134
addnode=192.30.85.23
addnode=37.14.134.175
addnode=195.68.203.237
addnode=189.216.159.2
addnode=209.205.125.118
addnode=76.97.160.198
addnode=71.197.52.238

You'll be able to sync your node in a few hours.

Thanks for the info, but where do I find the data directory? I'm working on a MacBook and according to litecoinca.sh I should put it in ~/Library/Application Support/litecoincash. But in the folder /Application Support there is no folder /litecoincash. I did use the default installation. A search command for 'litecoincash' doesn't give me any results. Hope you can help me out. Thanks a lot!

1. Open litecoincash qt wallet then quit it
2. In Finder go to Menu > G0 > Go To Folder
3 Paste in      ~/Library/Application Support
4. Scroll down to liteconcash folder

I'm sorry for my ignorance, but is the qt wallet the same as LitecoinCash Core? That's the one I'm using (I downloaded it from litecoinca.sh). Thanks again!

no problem. Took me ages to figure it out. Yes its the same thing. If your wallet is unresponsive after syncing just quit it and open it again, it will sync again then be fine.

No massive hurry cos no exchanges are taking lcc deposits yet.

Uhhh i tried googling this coin, and can't find it current value nor on CoinMarketCap, and maybe im little lazy(don't want to read 70 pages). Can someone tell me what is its current value, and which pool are you using? Thanks in advance!

Considering most of us cannot transfer LCC except to some of the more exotic exchanges, it's difficult to determine.

Useful instructions for running LitecoinCash node on Ubuntu 16.04

As mentioned on website:

Download Bootstrap -> This OPTIONAL file can help you to synchronize your blockchain faster when you initially install Litecoin Cash.

As the bootstrap.dat zip file is more than 9 GB in size you can use torrent to download it

Quote
npm install webtorrent -g

webtorrent magnet:?xt=urn:btih:A500D225FFC360AF9C78C9F2A9091FFF8B3E166D&dn=bootstrap.dat.zip&tr=http%3a%2f%2ft.nyaatracker.com%3a80%2fannounce&tr=http%3a%2f%2fshare.camoe.cn%3a8080%2fannounce&tr=udp%3a%2f%2ftracker.torrent.eu.org%3a451%2fannounce

Extract the zip file to get bootstrap.dat, copy it to the data directory:

Quote
root@ip-xxxxxxxx:~/.litecoincash# ls -la

Stop the litecoincash daemon & restart with following command:

Quote

/home/user/litecoincash/src# ./litecoincash-cli stop

/home/user/litecoincash/src#  ./litecoincashd -loadblock=~/.litecoincash/bootstrap.dat

This is what worked for me....else it was stuck at 0 blocks for quite some time...
