Yes, you will need a LCC wallet to get LCC coins using your LTC private keys. To be safe move your LTC to a temporary wallet and sweep the LTC private keys from the empty LTC wallet in to the LCC wallet. Once you are done you can move your LTC back to the original wallet. Result is 2 wallets. One with LTC and one with LCC. Good Luck!!!
wow dude, when we don't know we don't give advice, specialy about security
you need a new wallet, don't send back your ltc in the wallet where you provided the private key for claim your lcc
this advice works for any fork coin
may be the team is legit, but why takes so much risk?
you need less 5mn for create a new wallet
When you move the LTC back to the original wallet new private keys are generated. You don't use the old keys (so there was nothing wrong with my advice!)
For security, yes I agree using a "burner" wallet to hold LTC would work too.
Depends on the wallet. I'd definitely make a new one so that all private keys exposed to the LCC wallet (or any other project's forked wallet) are completely purged from the LTC wallet.
