the coin is just like mooncoin on Cryptsy, very big sell pressure/ price slowly down, the only difference is leafcoin has never pump.
i hope one day leafcoin will become Treecoin,  but for now it's very hard to say, i will continue to vote on Mintpal.com,

We are in a shit. The coin is almost dead. Not even close

A lot of promises.
A lot of talking.
Probably because we're always answering comments like these, rather than working on the projects because otherwise people moan we're not here and not doing anything

Nothing is happening.  Lots is being worked on, just takes time

There is no quick reaction.  only when we're asleep
No PR.  somebody offered to help with this, nothing happened yet though
No good website.   somebody offered to help with this, nothing happened yet though
Whales eat the coin.   This is not something devs can control, this is down to users
Multipools eat the coin.   Because so many users stopped mining due to price being driven down and so many other coins arriving
Coin is sinking.   It is being forced down buy a manipulator, how many times do we have to explain this?!

So, what is the plan, quick plan, quick reaction, quick implementation ?    Unless you have a few hundred bitcoin spare, there is nothing quick that can be done

How does the coin owner what to keep his coin clients stick to LEAF ?   This is not the coin owners coin, it is the community coin, get your finger out and help rather than moan.

Have you bothered to read the news recently, most crypto is taking a pasting due to the MTgox problem, yes we have other problems (market manipulation etc) but what are you doing the help them? other than just pointing them out over and over again?

People are working on all of the above and more, feel free to pitch in.

Who Are We?
CharityMiningPools was created to allow miners the ability to mine coins while still knowing that their hashing power is going towards something good.  Our goal is to provide a positive and reliable service while delivering a small portion of the proceeds to a deserving recipient.  Plans are in the works to allow individual miners to choose where they would like to donate to based on a pool of available recipients.

How Does This Work?
All coins minded at CharityMiningPools will require a mandatory 0.5% Donation fee.  This donation fee will be collected and donated to the designated charitable recipient for that given month.  Though we only require a minimum 0.5% Donation fee, we welcome and encourage our miners to raise the stakes and donate more to a good cause.

DASH is the future of crypto payments!
I cant even think aabout it. Had 1,21 BTC there but worse that I have made a move bought some at other exchange sold them at mtgox and withdraw the euro... now passes more that 1 month and money hasn`t arriveed on my account. Fuck 1,2 BTC I want that what I`ve withrawed in fiat currency. Ohh boy can`t sleep.... It won`t finish like that with mtgox...

if you read the document http://webwereld.nl/beveiliging/81471-bitcoin-in-vrije-val-door-implosie-mt--gox on the bottom ( english ).... they will be back in about a month ( rebranded as Gox ). But still need to figure out on how to get 200k bitcoins. They made btw a shitload of money.

OHHHH so the hope is.....

i think with the price being so low now they will make a ton of money in arbitrage!

i dont like keeping coins in any exchange long term and will only transfer in if i want to trade them and then transfer back out.

lol,

definitely looks like i need more coffee,  thanks for the info.

also, have you looked into the TX mal attack used on GOX. is the coin vuln to this? i can see people starting to target altcoins soon and it could be one of the first to resolve the issue ;-) (if the issue is indeed present).

i thought the next block half was 31 days after the previous one?  didnt we just undergo a block half.. or do i need to go buy another cup of coffee ;-)

i think the multipools might ease up if the reward half's again!

Hi,

Every 10,82 days there is a blockhalve. This is mentioned in the oppost as well.

Next one is scheduled for 1 march.

Maybe coffee is a good idea.. i am gonna get some as well Smiley

Cheers

transaction malleability, if i understood correctly, only has affected gox ( perhaps some exchanges as well ).. currently bitcoin only. If it is a real problem ( some disagree, one of the core developers of bitcoin ie... they say it has more to do with how mtgox does the registration of transactions... ) and when there is a fix available, we will copy it immediately into the leafcoin code and push an update out.

mtgox is dead. its offline. so at least that part is closed now. they lost 740k bitcoins?

there are four things going on:

- first we have the constant sell pressure from the middlecoin pool. Because our normal mining net hashrate is low, difficulty drops often below 17. That triggers multipools to get in here and get few blocks fast which are converted to btc immediately. Hence a continuous sell pressure. KGW doesnt change that ( as most ppl think its an weapon against multipools: it is not. it prevents getting stuck )

- second, we have a whale @ leaf. Perhaps two. These are buying from the multipools at low levels and reselling at 1 tick higher. Meaning the whale make +/- 16% on every turned coin. To continue the process ( because lower price == more profit, imagine buy at 1 and sell at 2, that would make 50% @ every turned coin ), the whale puts up sell walls to push the price further down.

- third, devs are working on projects and are not completed yet.

- fourth, we are a very young coin. And we are not the only coin undergoing this process. Most new coins experience a similar behavior.

in short: we are pushed down and its heavily manipulated. just because of the greedyness of others.

dont feed the whale and keep the price up. if you buy, buy at buy wall price. the multipool will dump into it and you will get coins eventually. be warned though... next blockhalve is on its way... so if you decide to buy at buy wall price, calculate how much btc is converted each day by these multipools and how long it takes before a buy wall gets eaten away up until your buy order. If it exceeds 1 march 2014.. then there is a real chance that you cannot buy (back) using the buy wall price.
