I will vote for you as well Smiley

My delegate node is up and running on my local testnet. If anyone wants any help in setting up a node, let me know. Be sure to add me to any voting list!  I am testing on my local network. I will be setting up my main delegate node on a VPS in London and running one on my home PC (Kent, UK) But i am not campaigning for votes for this one. I am only having it to help secure the network.

Visit my facebook page if your haven't, https://www.facebook.com/lisklondon/info/?tab=page_info,  and get in contact with me if your from the UK!! I want to plan some competitions for the start of the first term of the 16/17 year at universities etc. 70% of my node is being locked away into funding DApp development competitions. I have no interest in taking any of it. I have enough LISK from my initial ICO investment and the 30% i am keeping for node maintenance, i am sure in years to come, will be enough.

If LISK does get to silly money, i will lower my stake from 30% -10%. I don't want to be earning money being part of the 101. I want to secure the network and fund development.

Good luck to everybody, remember to give us a shout if you need any help.

Pinkman.

So pinkmann is in the series a heavy druguser and drugdealer And there are people chearing up with druguser and drugdealer with a serious mult-million-company, which is working with fintech technology. Fintech, where seriousity and reliability is the key.

Lisk good luck!

Its a username... I made it in 2014. Sorry that I can't have a bit of fun with it. There seems to be a lot of people interested in campaigning for a node. But i doubt the majority have done as much as me. I have a working node on testnet with 100% uptime (only been 12 hours or so) and have also included some security measures.

Mine also isn't for a quick buck. Its dapp competitions and development.

I'm probably quite a good person to vote for seeing as where I work I can remote into my node, and when I'm not at work I can do the same. So minus sleep I can always maintain its service and uptime.

I'm not trying to find developers. Just stated if someone wants to "take over" Crypti development, he should get in contact with me. Smiley

If I had the coding capabilities to do so, I would. But I'm sure developers will jump on it once they can use the Lisk development to improve Crypti.

I'm glad you cleared this up quickly. That would of been a really awful move now that someone owns 80% of crypti. Crypti was a good stepping stone, a large share of the groundwork has been done for LISK, which is why this platform, fingers crossed, will be fully functional and ready at launch.

I still think Lisk would be better served in the long run by 101 altruistic unpaid volunteers, as I have said here from day one.  There is still the option until launch to run the Lisk Foundation 101 Genesis Block nodes as long as required to find this group of people.  I volunteer to be one of them.

Sorry about that "ass" thing... Wink

I would volunteer an altruistic node too, that leaves 99 to go....

Why does it have to be "black or white", either rewards possibly going into the 100k$ range, or nothing at all? Why don't we fix limit the reward by algo to something like 10000$ a year?

Ill volunteer an altruistic node as well 98 to go Smiley

but I think a bigger problem is that 101 nodes is nowhere near enough maybe 1010 is a better idea.
A fixed fee to cover expenses to run the node sounds good to me and the surplus of generated funds could be distributed to worth while projects by a foundation type of entity.

The argument for giving 1 Lisk up to 101 Votes is that it prevents someone from securing a delegate spot by holding 1% of the Lisk, but by consuming the votes to hold that one spot it makes it a lot harder for that same holder to collude with other large holders to secure all 101 spots.
...
I would still rather see 1 Lisk = 1 vote for 1 delegate.

Actually that's what we said before. I fully support.

I want to continue the discussion about LISKPOOL! In BitShares 2.0 all holders can vote for changes of rewards for delegates (without hardfork) this allow shareholders to control the payment of delegates works. If I understand currently Lisk doesn't have such opportunity, so it's will be good idea (pool, for example max 10 delegates) will let take profit another people in a little parts of a big rewards. What do you think about this IMPORTANT topic?

I see only 2 ways:
1) decrease rewars on block to 1 lisk
2) pool MUST exist, beacouse it's let to little hjolders take a little profit

PS: At Cryptsi this problem was low priority, because cost of 1 crypti 1k satoshi, and 1 delegate gets 5*8640/101*30*1k satoshi + fee ~ 0.12 btc in month

Max and Oliver, what do you think about this? It it good, if delegate will take 10 (in ICO price) - 100 (if proce will x10) thousand dollars profit in year

at joel
sorry one question more. now a transactions costs half a dollar cent.
if the price of lisk goes 10x times, we would be at 7.5 dollar cent, what could be to expensive for an altcoin, what would happen then?
good to hear that dapp registration costs maybe are going to be set up differently.
0.1 LISK of amount sent for a spend transaction
5 LISK for registering a second passphrase
100 LISK for registering a username
100 LISK for registering as a delegate
1 LISK to add a contact
500 LISK to register a dapp
5 LISK per member for registering a multi-signature group.
0.1 LISK of amount sent for a spend transaction
is that 0.1 % of lisk of amount?

@liskshifter: Most of the fees will be changing, stay tuned for a status update

Lisk interest is huge, and after launch will be a success, but with DPoS system, value of LISK will decrease in time, this thing with delegates is not proven to be a success (is an example somewhere?) - a small group will produce coins and a large group will buy? I don't think so. In a POW system everyone can produce some coins (small miners for ex.) and is involved in coin.  DPoS is energy efficient indeed, but for who? for a small group? DPoS will become like a closed group. DPoS is not attractive to masses. I like LISK and i want to succeed, but this is my opinion.

I agree, small group of 100 is not ideal.
With the amount of money generated at ICO, I wonder if LISK management themselves can run these 100 nodes and distribute the earning to the voting users somehow- after deducting the server running costs, of course?

I read the article and i find the arguments moooore as just funny.

So even with the 100x less security (?) for bitcoin, what i find completely bullshit to say (you have a computer or an asic you want  and to hack or you want to group all the hashshare to break bitcoin) 101 delegates is a joke of security in my eyes.

Thats like 101 nodes, btc having over 6000,
1 hash/15 sec to 1,2*10000000000 hashes/15 sec

If you want security, you cant go without sha256, merged mining or script. Valueing network and blockchain and coinsupply, Pow is the only one solution, we know is working and scaleable up to 25 transactions a second. PoS we dont know how it will work with 5 transactions a second.
