I want to continue the discussion about LISKPOOL! In BitShares 2.0 all holders can vote for changes of rewards for delegates (without hardfork) this allow shareholders to control the payment of delegates works. If I understand currently Lisk doesn't have such opportunity, so it's will be good idea (pool, for example max 10 delegates) will let take profit another people in a little parts of a big rewards. What do you think about this IMPORTANT topic?

I see only 2 ways:
1) decrease rewars on block to 1 lisk
2) pool MUST exist, beacouse it's let to little hjolders take a little profit

PS: At Cryptsi this problem was low priority, because cost of 1 crypti 1k satoshi, and 1 delegate gets 5*8640/101*30*1k satoshi + fee ~ 0.12 btc in month

Max and Oliver, what do you think about this? It it good, if delegate will take 10 (in ICO price) - 100 (if proce will x10) thousand dollars profit in year

His Dapp tutorial looks great from 1st glance.

Can Lisk Devs or someone good with JavaScript verify his tutorial?

It is based on this https://lisk.io/documentation?i=lisk-dapps-docs/BasicDapp

i didn't follow this whole delegate thing, how it work, it's like someone get vote for apply in politics? can we earn more lisk in this way?

this coin would have been so much better if there was a plan to add a pow phase with a new algo, is this still possible to do? it would help having at least some form of backup for the value

I don't think it would be possible to do, and it would be stupid as it would go against our vision of having a cooperative consensus rather than competitive

when there are money involved, there is no cooperative consensus ever

Vote for me to be a delegate. My stake rewards will go to hookers and cocaine. Pics will be provided of the goodtimes we have to everyone who votes.
added

Think the DRDD is going for 20 delegate nodes... I'll vote for all of theirs. That brings current total to 66. Still think there will be quiet people who will run for active delegate. Those that have probably got too much LISK from the ICO to care about votes

My delegate node is up and running on my local testnet. If anyone wants any help in setting up a node, let me know. Be sure to add me to any voting list!  I am testing on my local network. I will be setting up my main delegate node on a VPS in London and running one on my home PC (Kent, UK) But i am not campaigning for votes for this one. I am only having it to help secure the network.

Visit my facebook page if your haven't, https://www.facebook.com/lisklondon/info/?tab=page_info,  and get in contact with me if your from the UK!! I want to plan some competitions for the start of the first term of the 16/17 year at universities etc. 70% of my node is being locked away into funding DApp development competitions. I have no interest in taking any of it. I have enough LISK from my initial ICO investment and the 30% i am keeping for node maintenance, i am sure in years to come, will be enough.

If LISK does get to silly money, i will lower my stake from 30% -10%. I don't want to be earning money being part of the 101. I want to secure the network and fund development.

Good luck to everybody, remember to give us a shout if you need any help.

What are the voting intervalls?

Voting is continuous and never stops.  Anybody can be voted up or down at any time.  This is why it is so important to have hot-swap Standby Delegate nodes (at zero reward) ready to go continuously to take the place of a $300K-per-year Active Delegate node that is suddenly voted down.

What could possibly go wrong?

This is where an attacker outside the 101 could DDoS individual delegates until they lose their position and the attackers delegate gets moved up into the 101.

I can't believe for one minute that, if there's enough value involved, this won't happen.

it will happen, just be prepared.

That kind of SHTF scenario is exactly why I'm finetuning firewall/autoban rule today on my testnet box

I guess we will see, sure thing is protection against a dedicated ddos botnet that send thousands of 'legitimate request' is always hard to block whatever the method used ...

Hey guys,

Probably this question has already been answered, but I could not find the answer. Will Lisk use Sia as a storage platform?

Yes, another question...

NO! See the recent post from Max:

Does, or will, Lisk use Sia (sia.tech) as a storage backend like Crypti does?

No, although it's a GREAT technology it wasn't suitable for our needs. Smiley

Aww, that's too bad Tongue
I mean, if there was like a voting interwall of let's say one moth, it would be fun to see everybody buying Lisk like it's the end of the world, withdraw it, vote and then try to sell it again. Sounds like halving happening every month Wink

Seriously though,  what happens when a delegate falls out of favour? I mean, would there really be people waiting in line for that case?

Page 350 Cheesy

All we know that the pages at the end of the story don't mean nothing. Someone can 'spam' useless message and we can reach easily to 500 page, but after that situation ... what it will happen ? More hype ... then ?

hype
plan
scheme up dapps and build teams and get ready for launch
till the 11th, then rush to 100k shat, weak hands leave, float on, dapps start rollin,we EAT ETH for lunch, moon, Ferrari's
and then the thread will be quiet, everyones too rich to be here...

I know it is always the same story... but c'mon guys the number of the pages and the views don't really mean nothing (at the end of the story). We will see if Lisk is strong once it will enter on an exchange, for example c-cex.

agreed. c-cex will be first test. if it goes there first imo it will give time for those who want out to get out, and those who want more to accumulate.
during that time will be the time lisk will start shining, or show it's not capable of all people may think.
if it does show promise, and it holds like 8-40+btc volume days at c-cex, larger exchanges will surly follow to get in on that volume.
(tho word is we may have the larger exchanges on launch or very soon after)
all comes down to progress, time will tell, not page/thread length haha

I totally agree with the above mentioned . Most of the pages are pure spam and discussions without meaning .

I don't think the price will 'dump' because to vote you should stake/have lisk in your wallet... so a lot of people will not move their coins on an exchange (low sell pressure) once it will available an exchange.
