So that Coinmarketcap keep the old ticker(MRS) yet to this coin. Somebody could advice to change it, I think

I mine a lot of Marscoins myself..   want to be the first mars millionaire!  lol (dont we all?)

Given they hope to use it as a research credit/mars rover renting/internal colony currency I am hoping the value goes up a lot as the missions start to launch.  

I actually contributed to the earlier marscoin giveaway trivia night on poloniex.  I might have another one in a while; depending on my free time, since the marscoin faucets are pretty rubbish.

I too want to set up a shopping site like @coreinternals  how is his project coming along? Anyone?

I also chat to one of the marscoin founders, he and several of them are MarsOne candidates, which is why he launched it.

@Buy - unless you use the official marscoin explorer or one of the crypto mining pools ones i would treat any 3rd party explorer for ANY coin with suspicion, even the faucet/explorer one posted earlier I dont recommend using simply as it looks very suspicous. (gambling referrals)

I also have my own reference pool for marscoin mining here where I work, although I recommend most people use the official one, mine is in Australia, and has limited bandwidth.

@bradfrogger2 The blockchain did get slow a while back - apparently there was an issue with a cron dying on the default wallet peers. Bug was related to mPos mining software,  It was fixed shortly after. (i noticed it myself and let the marscoin admins know)

I suggest adding extra peers as backups prohashing has one ( 98.115.147.74:8338 i think), and poloniex (not sure exact port, i see it pop up on my wallet occaisionally)

My wallet is up to date. It is possible that you were looking at a time when no mining was going on.

Developers and community members have presented a series of thoughtful pleas for MRS, so we have decided to spare it from delisting for the time being.

Awesome thanks! I'll add Marscoin as an accepted form of payment to the site and keep everyone posted here.

Nightly progress note before the team signs off for the night:

The server has been configured, everything should be ready for launch, we are currently only experiencing a delay in DNS pointing and nameservers transfer.

This is my apologies as I had forgotten that this was still in effect. The site will be up within the day though (or should be the nameservers shouldn't take much longer).

If mars is still alive how would everyone feel about an online store/marketplace where you could actually buy real stuff with your mars coins and other alt coins to help boost the economy on this coin hopefully and get us off the ground.

This coin is my favorite altcoin with a great goal behind it heck c'mon who doesn't approve of the mars one project!

I don't plan for anything crazy starting off with maybe customized USB sticks and other little things as such and lets see where we go from there.

Any way I'm launching The site in the next few days and want to get feedback from you guys!
Suggestions of what you want to see for sale ,, questions on how the heck I plan to do this whatever you inquire I'm here to see this through!
