New Max Coin pool launched! We charge 0% fees. That's right, no fees.

Come join us at Pool of Pools!

http://max.poolofpools.com/index.php?page=gettingstarted

We just moved to brand-new, faster, more stable servers, and we will do whatever it takes to help you out and make sure your mining experience with us is as close to perfect as possible.

We recently added a new chat module that pops up on the page--just click the PoP Chat link and get started. A few things to note: it doesn't store any logs, so you won't see anything except the messages that come after you've connected, and if you disconnect from the chat, you'll lose the history. Sorry, but it keeps the strain on the servers low so all the power goes to mining Cheesy

Come give us a shot. We think you'll appreciate the stable and smooth function of our pool, which is running the latest version of the MPOS system for the most detailed stats, the easiest-to-use account interface, and the best overall user experience.

Once you've signed up for one coin at pool of pools, you can mine any other coin we offer with the same account! We currently offer the following coins:

American Coin
Doge Coin
Fast Coin
Infinite Coin
Moon Coin
Noodly Appendage Coin
World Coin

Direct links to all of our pools are here:

I'm not sure I understand this coin... the difficulty is so high and the reward is so low and the price is only .0017/BTC or so? Why is it so popular?
Seriously, I'm not hating I just dont quite understand.

Do not use coins-e as wallet!!  This exchange not always deposits money.
Use mcxnow, bter or local wallet!
A few steps to use COINS-E as wallet:
1. Remember that COINS-E will ALWAYS require manual confirmation, don't use 1gh or you're in for a lot of work
2. Open the block explorer for your COINS-E address
3. Copy ALL your new transaction IDs one by one from the block explorer
4. Enter ALL your new transactions here: https://www.coins-e.com/support/deposit/ (choose coin)
5. PROFIT!

Does anyone have good cgminer settings for r9 290 or similar?

This is what I use for my R9 290 rig
-I 14
Afterburner 3.0.0 Beta 18
-12mV, 0 PT, 1050mhz core, 1250mhz mem.
435mh/s per card.

I have 5 of these hashing on one rig consuming 1300w total.
I could get up to 480mh/s using 1150mhz core and +20% PT but one of my cards is unstable so I prefer the reliability, less power consumption and heat.

Thanks, I'll give this a go. Have you just left all of the other settings in CGMiner at default.

Thanks for taking the time to reply. I really would like to see if I can get this going... in case a new coin comes along, that lives up to its promises and their devs have their act together, I'll be able to jump on and have this learning curve behind me.

that's a good way of thinking about it.. there's always a new train to jump onto in popcoin land...
Stacy Coin is just around the corner so any tools you have prepared here can be used there too...

I've learnt so much from this entire process too.. and the most important thing I have learnt is that you have to be ready the very minute a new popcoin goes public....

the MAXCoin launch was a complete Joke but Doge Coin has already proven that Jokes CAN be popular and that Dogs really CAN fly...

I don't always drink...
I'm running 4 7970's in a rig.

Is anyone getting better than 350 Mh/s per card?

WU avg. of 78/m per card.

Here is my config:

Quote
cgminer.exe --keccak --no-submit-stale -o stratum+tcp://max.smalltimeminer.com:3355 -u username.1 -p password -I 9 -g 1 -w 256

im getting 379 with i 13

When I try i 13 my WU goes down.  Guess the sweet spot for me is found.   Undecided

To be honest, I am a noob and was more or wanted to try mining, but with decent specs to maybe gain a few coins.  Anything is better than the .2 Maxcoin that took 5 days to mine on CPU (as was touted before the launch).

If you're telling me that running with all of the GPUs on NVidia Grid won't yield anything worthwhile, then I just may as well say "F* it" and give up on this experiment.

its up to the individual I guess.. if you have free power you could still make a few coins to play around with...
if its not about the profits though .. there are a tonne of other coins you can mine and get much more to play with...
