I am still holding on to my Max coins long term, not that I have a lot or anything though.

Anyway people have been bashing this coin since it started non stop and if the criticism is fair then let it fly.
I have criticism about this coin but I choose to support it when comparing coins (to support)

Maxcoin probably do have the same problem but it may not be as much of an issue because blocks are generated every 60 seconds.
Max is very different than Bitcoin, it was ripped off, err, cloned off blakecoin, a very different and original genius made coin [by BlueDragon] which is superior to Bitcoin.
As for Bitcoin, I said in 2013 it couldn't scale and it would eventually die and be replaced. But first btc has To blow past $10,000 and much much higher, starting this year.

I read this writeup about bitcoin where the blocks are getting rather large and the number of transactions per day are becoming limited because of the time it takes to decrypt a block.

1 year already! I can remember myself buying this shit at .005 like it was yesterday
I remember not selling them... I mean I tried to sell some of coins I miend but that joke-of-exchange had selling queue and I had to set ASK blindly, in few hours advance
