maxcoin --getbalance gives me Error: Cannot obtain a lock on data directory C:...Roaming\Maxcoin. MaxCoin is probably already running.

no '--'. just 'maxcoind getbalance'. This won't actually start the daemon, it will just query the instance of it that is already running.

new version v03: now with more commands, and a server-starter.bat
maxcoind.exe for newbies
- survive without the qt-wallet, no need for GUI !
These simple batch files call each one of those commands and give the results
(IF your maxcoind.exe is running in the background), then wait for press any key.
just unzip,
copy your maxcoind.exe into the same folder,
doubleclick "START SERVER" (and leave open!),
then doubleclick one of those .bat files.
Try them, then make your own with
Copy Paste Rename ... then right click ... edit ... save ... doubleclick.

I had that issue for a while. I'd suggest editing your maxcoin.conf file to add all the nodes listed here http://pastebin.com/ZV52qKti . Then, once you start it, give it a couple minutes, then see if it responds.

Hmm I've used maxcoind getnewaddress, but when I use listaddressgroupings it only shows one address. And its not the address that im mining on 1gh. Any ideas why, mate?
Has anything been transferred to the address yet? Mine didn't show up until 1gh had transferred coins to it. What's your address?

+1 You're not alone mate. I get the same error. Thanks for posting maxcoin.conf. I use the same, essentially, except for the rpcpost= where my is blank.

Does anyone know how long before my coins enter the Coins-e market? they have been held for orders for the past 3 hours now. i just want to sell a small amount and its not working
