I do think it's silly to stop multiple workers on a pool. But I don't really feel sorry for anyone that lost hash because of it. I have DRK for a fail over if you don't have a failover pool or two that's your fault even if it was just a DDoS you would still have lost hash. Protect yourself.

The pool wasn't dead, it was rejecting shares from deleted workers. How do you configure failover to help you in that situation?

Good question!

Maybe this "--disable-rejecting"?   In the documentation wrote as "Automatically disable pools that continually reject shares"

WARNING!  This too much like a cheating coin 'wecoin' . Maybe devs  using these hashs to dig other X11 coin。 And then miners  will get noting。
Well I can be fairly sure that isn't happening.  The difficulty is not changing wildly and does not correspond to any other x11 coin I know to mine so it would appear as tho we are mining a new coin.  Does feel weird to keep this many coins on the pool tho I must say...

look at the difficulty  the same as which coin?

[MIN] Minerals. Launched!

You may contact Bittrex to add MIN-BTC market! Twitter: @BittrexExchange , Ticket. Thanks!

How do you think about it ?
first ,all the coins are in control of the  dev. how we could exchange the coin?
second ,i don't really trust the power of the dev if they ask us to contact the exchange market ?
i think the the dev's  economic power is a basic of a new coin.

if you want to be added to bittrex,   you need a community.

bittrex also want to see we have a big community. so the more requests they receive from us, the more probability we have to be added bittrex

I had 3 backup pools in failover, but fail-over didn't trigger because pool 0 was alive, it was just rejecting each and every share from my workers 2, 3 and 4.
Same here. If the pool had shown up as dead it wouldn't be such an issue.

Although the devs also stated that any changes will be announced well ahead and one hour is not well ahead. He says he did it because the community demanded it, but what about the part of the community that was sleeping? They couldn't demand it to left it as is until they wake up. Some compensation to the damaged parties should be made. The dev will have 1% of the coin anyway, so it shouldn't be the problem.

It's nice to see that the dev cares, but you can't haste unannounced solutions to problems because they generate more problems and one hour ahead can hardly be called announcement.

Imagine Facebook now announces it will be deleting all accounts with more than 5 photo albums in one hour... That wouldn't be so cool.

Everytime should be configured a or many backup pool with other coin to avoid this situation, e.g. Darkcoin...

Youre right, it's a different story.  I haven't any idea to avoid this situation atm.

I agree guys, leave the silly nationality arguments, that is for the children.  The Chinese play a very important part in crypto and the economy of the world. Lets all get along together nicely. Smiley

Everytime should be configured one or many backup pool with other coin to avoid this (or other) situation, e.g. Darkcoin...  My configuration/starting bat file has 5-6 different coin pool address.
