The project is interesting but
some thing shocks me

- the hash power of some miner on the pools. yesterday 75~35 Kh/s for 1 worker  Shocked ( what's your rig ? full datacenter .. :p ) a botnet ?

my setup multiple server

 VERSIONS:     webchain-miner/2.6.2.0 libuv/1.8.0 gcc/7.1.0
 * CPU:            Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E5-2650 v4 @ 2.20GHz (1) x64 AES-NI
 * CPU L2/L3:   4.0 MB/30.0 MB
 * THREADS:    16

1 server = speed 2.5s/60s/15m 381.4 365.6 n/a H/s max: 416.2 H/s

Thanks for sharing your stats. Back on this page of the forum https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3649170.600, there were some stats shown for certain kind of hardware and we saw some users explaining their settings to each other on discord justifying these relatively high hashrates. Have a look please!

Thx  Smiley

result on 2 days

I saw the coin on https://coincodex.com/crypto/webchain/ but the supply is not correct and there are no exchanges added there, it's a known place and visitors could get bad information.

You're welcome  Wink

Thanks for sharing your concern, we appreciate it a lot. We sent a request to update those details to their support team a couple of days ago.

Hey, good project. I want to build another webchain pool, and am reading the repo https://github.com/webchain-network/webchain-pool i hadn't seen this pool before, is it a fork or your own code?

It's own version. Its interface is compatible with ETC, but it is not a literal fork as the term suggests.

I see, the pool version i intended to use will not work with this coin  Grin no problem, i'll have to use your pool for sure

You could try the version you prefer and share with the others how it works for you.

Seems like a good token (or coin?) that i could mine, i'm gonna give a try.

just don't let me down please.

We welcome you to start mining off webchain, it's designed to show you how CPU mining can be profitable. There's a short guide to help you out.

Thanks, i'll be sharing my stats in a couple of days here to compare

I really feel good when i see webchain is on the first pages of the forum, this is the only coin that has allowed me to mine using my computer and some old phones, I feel good.

That's the ideal form of a decentralized coin, but for that to work as a sufficient security for large networks you would need a lot of people to participate.

you mean security as "security coins vs utility coins"? and yes, it needs more people... but does it need people to use their miners or people buying the coin? I don't know what's the best approach the team can have to get people.

tiCeR is referring to the network security and how having more people with installed nodes helps increase that security.

@tiCeR

I agree, allowing to mine on any CPU (even on ARMs, thanks to java miner) is helping decentralization a lot. I really hope Webchain will gain more attention from crypto community so the network security won't be a problem. Right now we all should try to spread the word about this project in social media and telegram as much as we can.

I would also like to remind devs about bitcointalk bounty with signature, which is a great way to promote blockchain projects too.

To make it in crypto world,  we know we need to work hard, good intentions & a stellar ideas are not enough, and we won't make it unless we follow the rules and that's what we are working on, in terms of marketing.

The team is working on this, getting people to like the coin and start mining has not been difficulty, users get interested in the project and make the network security stronger as they join.
