Our app was just added to Google Play store https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=webchain.miner. You can now mine Webchain via your smartphone. Each time we are quiet for a while it only means one thing - we are working hard!

This is GREAT news! Can anyone on Android pls confirm it works and what hashrates you get? However I’m all in on the Apple ecosystem when it comes mobile devices so naturally I’m curious if there are any plans for iOS?

Btw I’m mining WEB with my i7 8700K and getting maximum hashrates around 390-400 h/s.

This throws up the question in how far mining via a smartphone consumes excessive resources. Do you guys have data for that?

Can we somehow remove 5% donation on mobile miner? 5% is too much considering the project has 20% premine. Thx!

juice on discord said "we will add option to turn off donation in mobile app. we will also add option to desktop miner to turn off donations totally (to 0%)" so we just have to wait.

I have an Asus 4 Max, 32 memory.
With 4 Threads (8 cores MAX)
Max CPU usage 70 percent
Result?
22.6 H / s

P.S: I have another asus, more with Android 4.4
It did not work, I saw that it is only for 5.0+

It's sad. Angry Cry Cry Cry

I upgraded my asus 4.4 to 5.0
And yet it did not work.

Connect, plus the hash is set to 0.

very nice project, rely in the future can run in accordance with the planned.  Good luck team.

Hello! Thanks for your nice words! Although we try to be humble, we also believe that it's not a matter of luck, but of hard work. We look forward to having you mining webchain.

Hi. I didn't want to add the account I use so I created a new one and added to the wallet but I don't know how to delete it. Can you help me?

Hello! You can't delete wallets due to security reasons. Just add the address you actually use to the wallet and you'll seen them both with their respective balances. If you just want to stop seeing both addresses, reinstall the app and add the right address.

hope it helps!

hello, I mine for more than a week already and still cannot see anything in my wallet - what should I do? maybe some special actions from me needed?

You can always see actual balance of your wallet at https://explorer.webchain.network . On which pool do you mine ? Do you see accepted shares in miner ?

okay, thank you. now I see the balance, but why is it not in my wallet still ( I mean I cannot see it in my desktop app)?
don't get too critical please - I just have started with mining and have chosen you as you're the simplest imo

I mine in 5000 pool. and do I have to chane the pool, or how can I change the pool?

Have you added the wallet address that you have in your config file to the wallet app? If you are mining and sending WEB to one address but you generated another one on the wallet app, then you will see an empty wallet.

If you want to change pools, just do it from the config file too. You have official and community pools to choose from.

Hope it helps.

Thx @Sud that sounds quite decent for a phone. Now that you mention Apples crypto ban I remember hearing about it. Guess I have to wait for the web-based java version then. Problem there is the that all background processes stop when the screen locks. So it has to be always turned on when mining = not so user friendly. Oh well!

@I3CI2YPTIC

I have just installed and tested the app on my Samsung Galaxy Tab S2. It's a SM-T719 octa-core model (Qualcomm MSM8976 Snapdragon 652) and on 8 threads with 90% CPU usage it showed 26-28 H/s. About iOS version, Apple recently banned all crypto mining apps from their app store, so we probably won't see Webchain Miner on iPhone.

Hello, why do you consume so much memory?
I'm installing the wallet and it's syncing.
Does it take too long to sync?

https://monosnap.com/file/qy0xuFrA3xHY5pMgal8GyUXGQuaZ3w

Thanks  Cool

blockchain is big because we have frequent blocks. we will provide blockchain file to import in future so you can skip downloading it from wallet yourself. yes it can take some time to sync, but that's how it is at every coin. We can work on improving that in future

I think it made a mistake, it did not sync.
I click on Reload and it does nothing.

Oi Adoniso! Could you please share a screenshot? Meanwhile you could try running the light node.

I'm mining a few thousand coins for the future, what are the future plans of the coin development team, hope that it will turn into something really worthwhile.

Maybe you should do it the other way around and first ask for the future before you start wasting resources on a project you don't know anything about Wink

We advise the same thing too. Users need to be fully aware of as many details as possible before investing in anything. That's why we are open to questions and we really appreciate when users feel comfortable enough to share their concerns or doubts with us.

That's awesome. We are looking forward to receiving your feedback on Webchain, you could share what device you're using and the hashrate you're reaching with it.

Regarding our future plans, as we mentioned on the main poast, we are creating an ecosystem for webmasters to earn on their content. As a hosting provider with millions of users and as one of the leading JavaScript mining solutions, we will make WEB be in the center of it. - it will be the first currency minable via CoinIMP other than Monero. There are of course more details about our strategy, but they will be given to the community when the time comes.

This is somehow a solid project to get involved with, i really like the idea of supporting smart contracts, also, the project has a really good name and the goal toward stopping and fighting Asic miners is just mind blowing! 😎 good luck!
CPU mineable, Smart Contract integrated in Webchain platform, no ICO, ASIC-resistant. All of them sound great for such promising new crypto coin.

Thanks for your feedback. All those feautures show what the company behind the project has always believed in: accesible solutions for everyone, decentralization and equality.
