Has anyone been to www.mooncointalk.info lately? Maybe the latest announcements should be posted there, too.

Deaconboogie,
Do you have an ETA on the release of the new wallet?

The new wallet will be released at the same time as the fork. Yes, this does mean that there will be a hard fork, just like Doge did. I hate to do it, but we're sort of stuck with it.

We're shooting to have this done by April 15th.

OK. I'll have to decide if I want to wait a couple of weeks or send the email out this week and then do a quick "how to update" video later. Probably the latter, since I'm already behind schedule due for reasons that have nothing to do with Mooncoin.  Thanks.

Deaconboogie,
Do you have an ETA on the release of the new wallet?  I ask because I've been planning a Mooncoin giveaway (along with a step-by-step video lesson) to my email newsletter as a teaching tool to help bring non-technical users into cryptocurrency.

Given the tech skill level of most of the people on my newsletter is pretty low, I want to make things as simple as possible and so I'd like to avoid forcing them to update their wallets too soon after they get started.

I'd also appreciate it if you could make sure to include a self-expanding .exe again this time as you did with the last update (or just link directly to the mooncoin-qt.exe) because making my students have to download and install a third-party application just to be able to access the wallet app is a very big hurdle for a lot of them and I want to make things as easy as possible.

People who have minimal skills and understanding of technology can be very easily discouraged by even small hurdles, so I want to keep things as simple as possible for them so they can gain confidence and knowledge with crypto.

Thanks!

I have a stable Windows build environment now (after about six tries of various combinations of Boost, OpenSSL, mingw, etc) and can built my own Windows wallets. Mac wallets still need some know-how. Maxpower, a user here who did our last wallet, had no trouble building our code on the Mac, so I'll either engage him or try myself.

We're shooting to have this done by April 15th.

The block reward reduction is the right thing to do. It will punish and deter those miners who dump everything they get onto the market while not believing in the coin, and it will reward those who held their coins from the beginning. Everyone's coins will be more valuable, so perhaps people will think twice about dumping from now on. Way to go!

Why dev dont think about to get lower   total coin number?
A high number of coins is basically not bad, because they can be spread widely, creating a broad base. That is exactly, what is happening right now. The massive amounts of coins from the first days are newly distributed, which is a little bit painful for many - especially with weak hands, because they sell too early and will bemoan their decision later on. Think of months, not days, if you're not out for a quick profit, but a solid investment. A coin with a broader base has a firmer standing, the more time is getting by. You just need to be patient.
So, keep calm and buy Mooncoins.  Cool

MOONCOIN had lost its heat
That means lost more people no one involved
Do you think we should wait?
It depends. In my opinion it is only a matter of time, until MOON rises again, but I can also be wrong - the market decides. The question is, how many Mooncoins are still to be sold by investors that bought too late into the latest pump, don't want to hold their loss any longer, subsequently selling because the risk of losing even more is too high for them and not outweighed by the chances/prospects of the coin. And will the MOON-market absorb this, until there are only the mining-sales left for the most part? Which would clear the way upwards ...
What we have to do is to gather interest by other people and tell them, that there is no better time to buy Moon than now, when the prices are low. As with every investment in cryptocurrencies, there is a high risk, but you won't get any bigger profit without a higher risk, it's as simple as that. So it is up to everyone themselves to decide, whether to take the risk or to sell now. If the coin ever rises again to its former heights or even above that, you could make a fortune with a small investment now. But again: Everyone has to decide for themselves, if he/she can bear the risk. As with every investment, that can bring high profits, there goes the possibility of losing everything or at least a big part of the invested capital - especially in cryptoworld.

Each time bitcoin has fallen in the past has been followed by it rising to a higher peak. If bitcoin does the same thing again then mooncoin will probably hit a new high price. It is difficult to judge the best time to buy, but maybe it's best to buy now and keep buying more each time they get cheaper untilmooncoin hits it's floor.

Why has moon trade volume gone down. Price is decreasing too...

A decline in the price decline will drive the trade volume!
People tend to rise more interested in the coin!
 Smiley Smiley

Decline in trading volume will promote?
Are you sure?
Should lose more people's attention
Actually he wrote the opposite: A decline in price will drive the volume. Which is clear, because more and more people think that they will get a bargain while others are selling them their coins, hence the volume rises.
