I copied the 14.6 files into sgminer..using 14.4drivers

I haven't tried to mine Nist5 just yet, waiting for an autoswitch port or at least some profitable coins out there. So if I use that version I downloaded from you, I won't need a special bin file to get 10.9 MH/s with Nist5?

Nope, I didn't use a special bin (yet).

Anyone test nist5 hashrates?

I get 10.9Mh/s with a 7950@1040/1500 , what are yours speed?
What are your settings for that hash rate?

question, is the kernel talkcoin-mod.cl better, or i need specifically nist5.cl ? (EDIT: in my miner nist5.cl gives invalid nonce error (sgminer 4.2.1))

EDIT: OK I figured it out, stock speeds with R9 280X I get 7.5MH per card, -w 128 -I 20 -g 4 -lookup-gap 2, tc 8192, kernel is talkcoin-mod.cl

Thanks for config. Do you use special bin file for improved hashrates? If so, please provide that too Smiley

Any word on what TMB is going to calculate NIST5 hashrates as relative to scrypt? I ask because I run Nvidia cards and need to adjust my switching algorithm for the differing performance between what TMB estimates and what my cards actually get.

I wonder if the card going sick and "gpu still showing activity suggesting a hard hang" phenomenon isn't linked with the switching. I.e. If one card doesn't switch (for whatever reason), it's stuck on the old algo hence not responding properly, leading to the mayhem experienced above.

I thought about this when I read old threads from similar problems... that were mostly happening when using more than one instance of cgminer.

Guess we can only wait for a better, stabler software to be released...

...or TMB to fine-tune its switcher?
I agree, you could be right. For me only 2 versions of ver5 are working, ver 4.2.1 has no issues, but it's a little bit slower. It's not worth to tune anything on TMB if the issue is coming from software. After new stable version TMB would probably need again to retune. It's only question of time, if ver 5 resolves this problem quick, there will be probably no need to tune TMB server. If not, then it's again qustion if TMB needs to reconfigure server and how long does it take. Here I agree again, we just need to wait for stable software, after that TMB will tune it's servers to be more stable, that's just my opinion.

More than 30 minutes i see this picture. Actually all of my worker is online. Accepted shares going every second.
P.S. What means Enable\Disable word in Monitoring column?
Same thing here. Sgminer is accepting shares and hashing away on the X11/X13/X15 switching ports but my reported hashrate on the website is zero at the moment, worker allegedly "offline".
Fishy.

P.S. it's supposed to send you an email if one of your worker goes offline (if you enable monitoring). The functionality doesn't currently work, however.

The reported hashrate is usually indicative of what was actually happening a few minutes back.  There is a reporting delay.

Guys, you all are using beta software with beta ports. If you expect stability and no disconnects, you should use something stable, even if it's less hash. For me first working V5 version was from 30.06, all other versions did not even start and if it started mining, exactly after 60 seconds sgminers quit.

You can get new miner from nicehash, version 2014-07-08. For me there is no difference in last 2 versions, both work flawless. There was only 1 thing I still do not understand. For some reason I needed to restart my pc when I tried last version. I was mining with 2014-06-30 version, quit with "Q", started version 2014-06-30. Miner did not start and it did not give me any popup or message. I restarted and everything started to work.

As everything is beta, error could be anywhere. I was solo mining, that's why I can say that the issue is probably on sgminer side, but you never know, there could be also some error in server configuration.

If it happens to someone in the night, just switch the miner for the night until the issue is resolved.

BTW: Who gave version 5 to the new miner? It's actually in version 4.2.2. It should be something with 5.x, it's confusing using 4.2.2 and calling it v5.

Is the pool/site down?

The website always seems to go down around 8:00 UTC, though the mining servers keep mining. Not sure if the mining servers are affected in any way by it, but I find it annoying that my API calls end up failing for half an hour or so every night and I get stuck mining blind.

Is there any particular reason that DRK isn't on the X11 multiport? I realise that its difficulty is pretty high, but URO's has been higher lately and we seem to be doing fine with it.

Also, setting up the NIST5 port early for testing sounds like a great idea; I'd love to get my switcher configured sooner rather than later.

I would agree with this.
