It was only the wind.
I won't risk modding the bios (even if it has secondary bios) for just 15 kh/s per card  Roll Eyes My understanding is that the boost doesn't come from tuning gpu and ram frequencies, but from the ram brand itself, whereas Hynix is the best, but mine have Elpida. You can confirm this by telling us what brand your ram is Smiley

L.E.: I tried with vddc 1225, gpu 1150 and ram 1500 (through Sapphire TRIXX) and I got around 3 kh/s more.

Samsung is the best, but AMD is too cheap to use it  Grin

Lol flashing the BIOS is 100% safe. if you f it up just boot from USB stick with another card for main adapter and flash it back. Happened to to me a few times^^ I flash em all the time when ive got a new idea... I'll check what mems my 6x 280x miner has next time I visit it...

amorphia: intensity 18 for neo sounds high. I get highest performance with 13. Interesting using different work sizes. I'll try that^^

jimlite: how much boost can u expect from stilt with neo?

Hello all,

I am using Asus R9280x DC2T with sgminer 5 with auto switch kernels and catalyst 14.6RC2 - win7 64bit - 4gb Ram - No hardware errors
With 14.6RC2 drivers, clocks cant be changed, it always run with "gpu-engine": "1080"  "gpu-memclock": "1600" even if you point it to downgrade.
Temps: wont go more than 60C whatever algo i use.

x11 = 4.2mh/s

x15 = 3.0mh/s
nist5 = 13mh/s

scrypt = 740kh/s

I'm cornered with an old and crap hardware, which won't run neoscrypt and even one rig can run x11 or x13, what can I use for external profit swap to continue mining @ TMB, as I'm stuck to backup as most of the time x11/13/15/nist multiports are closed cause it mines neoscrypt

You will probably get about 290kh/s with elpida and 300kh/s with hynix memory on a 280x,
unless you flash to stilt bios, but I agree, unless you know what you  are doing, it is not
worth flashing for 10kh/s. I just used the same 280x config as X11/X13 and it got me there.

I'm squeezing my way over 300KH/s with a kernal compied on win8.1 and 14.4 drivers with a engine of 1150 MHz. VDDC 1225. (mem 1500). What happens if your raise the vddc on that sapphire by modding its bios instead of setting it by software?

Ah nevermind, I was pasting the Tahiti part too, my bad. I'll try it now and see if it's any better.

L.E.: I'm only getting 255 kh/s with your bin... Thing is I can't force my gpu above 1020 and memories above 1500 because I have Sapphire Dual-X version. I use VDDC 1137 and if I force gpu and memories I either get HW errors or driver crashes. I believe only Hynix memories can achieve 300+kh/s, I only have Elpida versions.

em5 or somebody else who knows this, please share your settings and sgminer 5 version for 300+kh/s with 280X  Smiley

I found a kernel that allows me to get around 220 kh/s per 280X but can't eliminate hardware errors...

L.E.: I had catalyst 14.9 and that seemed to limit the performance. I installed 14.6 rc2 and now i get 285 kh/s per card with no hardware errors. Still not 300 but I can live with that for now Smiley

Yeah, my shit doesn't work with 14.9. I blame AMD.  Grin

Huh?
The mega file needs decryption key, can you please provide that too, Eliovp? Grin Also, can you post some settings for R9 280X cards?

I just tried to download it on another computer and i can just download it.. so i don't know what the problem is mate..

I'm personally getting 300 with this one Smiley Posted this in the sgminer5 thread also, others been very happy with it ..

Good luck!

Neoscrypt seems to have a normalization multiplier of 0.32. But I can only get 130kH/s out of my massivly undervolted 7970 (core 880MHz, mem 750MHz). Am I missing something? I cant find anyone else with a better result either. Nicehash uses a multiplier 0.15 that seems more consistent with my hashrate...

edit: found the new kernal. Now my 280x:s are making over 300KH/s^^

I decided to use port 8880 to test out settings.

With intensity 16 and 13, my cards give hardware errors and max hashrate I get is 116 kh/s per card. I haven't yet made a profile.

What settings do you guys use for neoscrypt?

When can we expect a multi-multi port for Neoscrypt?

4014 is now up for the Neoscrypt Multi-Multi

Edit: When the pool goes to neoscrypt coin my miners end up on the TMB_X11_Backup_East port.
Port 4014 does not seem to be working.

I have the same issue, i remedied it by setting the 8880 static pool after the 4014 pool, thus achieving the same thing anyway, but yes, 4014 seems dead when it should not be. So switch your X11static backup pool to 8880 Neoscrypt, that will solve the problem until merc82 fixes this.

Hope that helps

This is repaired, 4014 should work properly.. Sorry about that

It still looks like it is not working since when the pool changes over to NeoScrypt my miners still go to the backup pools.

Thanks for the multi port, merc Smiley

What options do you guys have in the Neoscrypt profile? I have 2 Sapphire R9 280X Dual-X.

L.E.: I added what TimC suggested to my config file, but miner won't switch to neoscrypt if it's the most profitable one. It sees X15 for some time, but when neo is more profitable it just waits for work. Otherwise, if neo is most profitable when i start the miner, it just times out saying adresses are wrong.

What do I need to do? I'm connecting through am02.eu.
