Good question, is Audiocoin still alive?
We didn't see that coin has any adoptions from music industry, or correct me if it's wrong.
Musicoin has musicians as co-founders, and connected to music consumption instead of just a COIN. On this blockchain, musicians can license their musical works with smart contracts which can charge listeners one coin per play(standard price but set by musicians freely). Other musical licenses can be realized and connected to different applications.

Musicoin has 4 layers to go, and just being first layer by far:
1. Blockchain (released 2/10, 2017)
2. Music Repertoire (est. 3/14, 2017)
3. Middleware and API (est. 5/30, 2017)
4. Applications (Mobile, IoT, etc.) (est. TBD)

No pre-allocation, no pre-mined coins, and team is poor to issue bounties until some further fund injected based on the further development. The blockhcain is totally commons.
The issuance of currency is unlimited though, co-relating to music consumption in global market.

If you were on Musicoin slack yesterday you would see how all the founders were super friendly and helpful making things right.
They even not trying to take advantage on mining themselves rather for letting early adopters do it for them.
Because of that a couple of whales even offered to the founders a chunk of MC for their fairness and focus on setting network right rather than being the first to mine.
Also all the recent updates you could see on their slack first.
Yeah, I believe man but invitations for the slack doenst work :/
