I could make a javascript based game of the community's choosing (within limits) but at the current rate you are giving people for making transcriptions I would need a very large number of coins. (transcriptions are very easy)

Other than that I don't know how to help, and running a node is not an answer.

Stuff like that is best to be planned on irc - it's a great idea!
Of course this will get you quite some coins. A transcription isn't difficult, but neither is setting up a node Wink

Where do we find our nodes address?

I tried my local IP and account number and both said it failed to connect to node.
You use your IP to check. When the site can't connect you probably haven't opened the port - which explains why you didn't get a bounty yet.

Maybe a faucet like game where people can play and achieve goals for a small amount of coins. I'd love that!

Wow, 1 full hour - I really didn't expect that. Good thing someone wrote a guide! Smiley And even without that, you certainly won't need that long for any following nodes. It's got to scale somehow.

We see your point though, and decided to double the node bounty. It's 666 per day from now on!

About the issue with missing payouts:
The website is ready. Visit http://explorer.nhzcrypto.org/?page=nodecheck and feed the form with your node's address to see the data we have. If everything is green you should receive your bounties as expected. If you don't or something is red, we added the chat below so you can contact us immideately and we will help you out!

Hey pharesim, please check your PM. I'm about my bounty.
Been busy with that site and trying to get the guys calm here Cheesy Will take care of it immideately!

I explained our current calculation in detail in post #177, still waiting for some input on it.

Your blog post isn't really helpful illiki, do you really think we should give out bounties for sentences like "This will drive people away from the coin"? You didn't even write the name right...
We're open to constructive criticism, but we won't reward behaviour like in kindergarden.

I was willing to just help out by running a node.

My blog post was not serious.  I was making a point.

Unfortunately I cannot support this coin until it is a little fairer.

It is somewhat frustrating watching people who know multiple languages scoop up months worth of coins with very minimal amount of work.  I just cannot support this.  (even with 666 bounty)

Good luck though, a bounty approach to distribution is a good idea if it was not so skewed.

We're open to discuss the amount.

If you invest 20$ you get 40k in one month. I don't think you need a lot of time to maintain it, once set up it will run for months, except for occasional updates (where not all will be necessary on a server node). Estimating 40 minutes a month for those 40k seems pretty high to me.

Writing a good post or creating a guide easily takes one hour of time, probably more. Plus, it's of great value for the community to get people with those skills involved. Everyone here should be interested in good instructions and marketing, because it will raise interest, dispersion, and thus the value for all of us. And don't forget, a guide/post will be useful for a long time, a node is gone after the bounty was paid out.

Our calculation was the following: getting 10k for 5$ means if we give out 50k for one hour of work that's an hourly rate of about 25$. Add 10 minutes a month for maintaining the node, the rate for other work is ~30$/hour.
In my opinion that's quite low, but I'm very interested in why you think it would be too high and what you would propose instead.
I actually spend almost an hour to set it up the other day with help from irc channel and then I am spending $5/month on top of it, to earn some coins,
which we dont know would return me anything at all in future.
where as a translator just spend the similar amount of time and walks away with x times coins, without spending any of his money, doesn't sound like fair to me.

For running the node I also worry about supporting and maintaining it for 4 months in order to get the same coins, where as others just finish it in an hour and can go away with the coins.

The difference is for server nodes, I am spending my time + my hard earned money to get some coins, where as the translation/blogpost just requires an x amount of your time.

IMHO you should increase the node bounty or decrease the translation/blog post bounty, or else we will end up with just translations and blog posts.

I made a blog post:

http://coinhappy.blogspot.com/2014/04/there-are-many-nxt-clones-on-market-as.html

This is to get bounty because running a node only gets a few pennies a day supposedly.

IMHO, you don't know what internet marketing is.  Embarrassed

I don't know how else to get in on this coin.  Running a node is a joke so I heard blog posts about the coin and translations were getting bounties.

I am not a good writer, but I don't have any other options.

And it is a blog post regarding the coin regardless..

I don't blame you, actually I hope devs make rules for coins distribution.

I set up a hallmark, have been running for 3 days, and still have yet to receive my coins.

At some point there was something that looked like a bounty to be paid out under unconfirmed transactions.  When I logged back in later it was showing 0 again.

Should I be getting coins by now?

The same here. Account: 12930652463845167717

Btw: I would not call this a fair distribution, if you give out 20000 to 40000 NHZ for simple translations or blog posts and the nodes are getting 333 per day. You have to run a node for a hundred days, which is quite more expensive and time consuming to get the same amount of NHZ.

Translation is not easy. If you do, you will know it's more complex than you think. Besides, time is money! I spent 2 hours to translate hallmark guide yesterday.

You say translation is not easy, but then you say it took 2 hours to translate a guide?

In my opinion you are contradicting yourself.  Two hours of work is NOT a large amount of work and you should not get paid a hundred days worth of bounty.  That is a laughable small amount of work for the rewards given.

I just found out about this, and am likely going to not participate in this coin if this does not change.  It is very unfair and ruins the coin.

I am going to have to write some blog posts I guess to get in on this coin, otherwise I will just be one of the 99%.  It is just not worth running a node for 100 days..

2 hours work not worth $10? Are you kidding me?

If that is what you are valuing the coin at, why should I run a node for a few cents a day?
