we are talking about dead cat coin, sir we are in 2016, are you time travel from 2013 ? cmon!
At least be creative!
Oh golly gee, low effort trolling on shitcointalk, what a shock!
Dead? We have an active community, a new release with security fixes which isn't just some shitty takeover hard fork, and I've been working on the revival for more than a year and half before we bothered to make a new thread here, because we aren't some fucking pump-and-dump. The chain runs. The code works. The only thing dead is apparently your brain.
At least put some effort into the trolling!
For instance, you could mock the fact that it's led by a homeless dishwasher (myself). That's comedy gold right there! Or you could mock the fact that the price is less than one-hundredth of where it was before the crash in 2014.
2013? The coin was release in Jan 2014, genius. You would prefer some new, unproven vaporware hypecoin I suppose? Go for it. By no means am I trying to sell this to anyone. I've been very deliberately working within the subreddit with the people who are interested in trying to rebuild something as an example to the rest of the cryptocurrency community, and there is plenty of work yet to be done. We're certainly still a nanocap, irrelevant little coin (market cap under $20k), but dead we are not.

As far as a bounty for translation, I'm not interested in sponsoring one personally. The work on NYAN has been done by Nekonauts who want to support the coin. I want it to continue that way. I find that there are a lot of people out there, like the infamous Greek one, who spam the hell out of translation services in particular and don't contribute much of any significance to the coin. No offense intended. But I don't intend to attract that type.
With that said, I can and have given away many nillions (millions of NYAN) to Nekonauts who do useful things for the coin. But I consider technical contributions orders of magnitude more valuable than marketing, which is basically what translation is a subset of.

As a general note, anyone interested in this coin should make sure to read the risks document,
https://www.reddit.com/r/nyancoins/comments/36e7ed/overview_of_major_risks_of_buying_nyancoins/, before gambling any significant amount of funds. I'm planning on doing an updated version of this in the next couple of hours, actually, presuming I don't get too lazy, and will post the updated link at the time so that people can actually comment on it. I consider responsible disclosure of risks to be extremely important. The work I've done on the revival of NYAN has been a reaction to the shit I've seen throughout the general cryptocurrency "community" such as it is. I am in this for the years and decades to come and I intend to prove what hard work and honesty can accomplish along with a badass team of cool cats.
Those who are interested are welcome to join us. Those who don't like it are welcome to take a flying leap.
TO INFINITY AND BEYOND!Edit: Also, I still think this release should be called "NYAN 2.0" because it's the first release in more than a year and it has critical security updates (notably the fix to the fork bug vulnerability, which was hit in Peercoin). I think a major version increment is more than justified by either of those conditions, but especially with the conjunction of both.
Edit 2: I should clearly note here: I currently own just over 100 nillion, out of 337 nillion max supply, and so hold about 35% of the current supply (~289 nillion). I am of course biased as hell in favor of NYAN. It is the main coin I support (I also consider myself a shibe as well and want to build an even stronger relationship with DOGE than we already have (I've done a major giveaway there and /u/rnicoll has commented in /r/nyancoins from time to time)). Also, I like DOBB; BOB loves you!
Edit 3: Updated risks document:
https://www.reddit.com/r/nyancoins/comments/56enxw/overview_of_major_risks_of_buying_nyancoins/. I removed the fork bug and no core developer risk based on this new release and added the 51% attack vulnerability which should have been noted before. Any feedback on this document greatly appreciated.
Edit 4: I am an idiot and can't figure out the url formatting here which I'm sure is painfully obvious and simple. Can't be arsed to figure it out right now.
