NYC dev sent me promised email. In my opinion it's legit.

1. It was sent from official email
2. They didn't post any address where to send coins and etc.
3. https://octaex.com/article/detail/id/3 Here is legit 0.1 BTC deal on site. Also free listing with voting.

For those who don't know Octaex is in size between coinexchange and cryptopia, but trades on just several pairs, so NYC would stand out. I think Octa decided to move into smaller alt coin market and capitalize on expesnive cost of exchange listings and yobit not listing any coins - except tokens and btc hard forks.

THE most usable (and actually one of the most used!) cryptocurrencies in existence. For that matter, probably THE most usable that will ever come into existence offering NO NETWORK FEES and lightning-fast 30 second confirmations. With a 4 year PROVEN Blockchain and 100% completely open-source. Being manipulated by the powers-that-be that understand this fact and are trying to hold it down for as long as possible. NYC will likely be the front-runner once the world actually USES crypto instead of just taking positions for speculative investment and hoarding.

GOODBYE Western Union. GOODBYE Moneygram. NYC will very likely also replace Visa/MC someday as well. Why pay 2-3% merchant fees when NYC offers same service for free.

NYC is the opposite of a shitcoin. It's price is shitty. But that simply represents a terrific buying opportunity for the savvy investors amongst us.

Because NYC has been infiltrated by newbies that hopped on the bandwagon in early January 2018 and want to take over marketing and have done nothing but hurt the branding by changing the logo to the ugly baby blue and light gray and getting their social channels WITH NO FOLLOWERS OR HISTORY listed on coinmarketcap.

The true supporters of NewYorkCoin are being tricked by the couple of sophisticated infiltraitors trying to take credit for NYC's success. MrSlosh has improved code/wallets and that is the ONLY benefit of the entire "nycoin.community" crowd. ALL OF THE OTHERS have intentionally (or naively) made NewYorkCoin support and community look MUCH SMALLER than it truly is. It will now take a bit longer to return to (and surpass) January price highs due to their INFILTRATE, DISRUPT and NEUTRALIZE (Cointelpro) shenanigans.


P.S. I intentionally left off hobbyist's contributions (block explorer and mining pool) because he is an early miner and supporter from this and original bitcointalk forum ANNOUNCEMENT page.

P. S. agentob, there is a big difference between founders and visionaries -vs- those jumping on the bandwagon 4 years later. But you already know that. 

COINGATHER was a very small exchange that started mining and trading NYC in 2016/2017. Disappeared in late 2017 with tons of NYC from original miners and pool operators.

So basically you have not more in 4 years than the community and dev's have done in just a couple of moths. Yeah, and you have no dev skills.

Coinomi is paid by you (2btc?) great investment , probably founded by p&d some of the billion coins you have but a necessary investment from you to get it easier for merchants to exept as the only QT wallet was so old/outdated, with alot of warnings to it and you had no idea how to build a wallet yourself (but you have promised the community a android/ios wallet to be "coming soon" "next week" etc for 4 years.

PS: The wallet issues have now been fixed by the dev's at the new community in just a few months

The list could be longer, but the point is that you can not own this coin just because you have mined and hyped it for so long, with p&d billion coins to found your investments on behalf of the communitys investments of coins.
And as metioned it is a 100% community coin and the community will/should run it together, transparent with no sensur as it is finally doing. It just needs some more awareness of what is going on.

I believe the latest community would still be open for recruting new skillsets. If you have some skills you can contribute to make this coins image up to date and great like 2018 standard. like e.g. programming (code, web, android, ios etc), marketing, strategy, design, business developer. etc etc u name it?
 
The more the better. Go to their discord channel and tell them your skills and maybe the team could need you on the team. I have seen it happen. If you have no specific skillset you can help to spread the word of NYCoin and the latest 100% transparent community and join the different votings for getting NYCoin listed on other exchanges.
