At the end of 2017 and the first days of 2018 is the golden period of cryptocurrency, all of them were very impressive including the New York Coin. Those days will come back only when all come back.

I received a visit from "Yoshi" at The New York Coin Center 2 1/2 days ago. Very knowledgeable computer science / applied math MIT PhD type claiming to be part of the "team" that created Bitcoin. He stated he was going to "test" the NYC network. When did this strange activity begin? He reminded me of the guy from US govt that visited Pablo Escobar's brother (search Google). We may have "the big boys" playing with the network. Will it cause any damage to NYC network? Or just produce a few more orphan blocks than usual?

[I am a simple miner since March 2014 supporting NYC.
I appeal to the community.
The last 4 days I have been watching a picture that surprises with its mathematical regularity. It's strange that the community does not grumble about this and does not draw conclusions and does not take action.
Fact: skipping complexity.Difficulty. I guess you see. From 780 to 8900. Abnormal even for 30 second blocks.
Fact: It starts on NY time at 6-5 in the morning. We can conclude. Either Western Europe (Spain, Portugal, GB), or someone can not sleep on the east coast of the USA.
Fact: Such a Number of Orphan per day was not from the ground up. This is not a joke. See for yourself.
My opinion as an educated and experienced old man of the miner:
1. Someone incorrectly programmatically connects the pool. There are suspicions about the pools this year. Maybe a beginner.
Proposal for scoundrels: contact the main pool gurus, to whom there is trust (http://nyc.mypool.club/index.php and https://hobbyistpool.ddns.net/nyc/) and you will be helped in the configuration. Or the community will investigate and punish.
2. Someone periodically wants to be driven by super-powerful farms. The estimated power of the connection by scrypt is not childish and measured by GH / s * N, where N is the order. Good for currency, but it connects crookedly.
Sentence:
A) investigate the experts.
B) who tries to connect and crookedly turns to the old peppers - http://nyc.mypool.club/index.php and https://hobbyistpool.ddns.net/nyc/) and you will be helped.
Who does not work - write here and you will be helped with the settings. For this is the NYC community
