I installed the nyc wallet and it has a virus in it...

I click start mining and it just says out of sync, Im asking how do you mine THIS coin as its not that simple is seems the thing says

It doesn't have a virus, That message is your AV being paranoid over the section of code that is the internal miner. You see, many malware resource stealing authors used the same code in their "product". The AV companies use it as a signature for Potentially Unwanted Program definition.

You can't start the internal miner until it is sync'd. (with the diff as high as it is, You will be playing the lottery)

The Alert Key Notification message can be ignored. Many alts have this problem and the alert system has been removed in Bitcoin and should be removed in the next release.
