This is the sad state of our community, this is a supposed representative of a company holding onto a significant amount of presales money.
Still it was refreshing to see such a short reply from Inaba............, you feeling ok buddy ?

To be very clear this is not a witch hunt, this is simply someone picking up the damn phone and getting answers after seeing all other avenues exhausted.
I have grave concerns about BFL despite not being a customer, so to alleviate these concerns I shall follow up them up with the neccesary goverment agencies that deal with these things.

I hope this can provide a conclusion to the the questions, it is most likely that I will simply get to log my concern etc (if at all possible as a non US citizen) with the deparments that handle fraud investigations and what ever consumer protection agencies America - I expect it to be an interesting learning exercise if nothing else.

As a community we have beaten this drama up for far to long when (just like with pirate) before seeking the correct assistance from the government bodies that are there to assist and protect us as consumers and as a community.

I shall report back all / any information I recieve and am legally allowed to share here, even if it is a boring but relieving "Nothing of interest or note regarding BFL and its employees activites".

Poor mem... when I last had words with him, it came to light he was declared legally (in Australia anyway) mentally handicapped, so I apologized to him and told him I wouldn't engage with him anymore.  As much as I'd like to respond to him, I won't pick on the mentally challenged, no matter how deluded they are.  His nurse or whatever takes care of him once a week, I think it was, really needs to take away his internet privileges though.

Can you explain why you want people to do this? Even on parole, a person has to have a job. In order to make enough money to paid it's employees, the company(that said person on parole works for) has to sell something. He works for a company that sells stuff, and you want me to report this (company's) sale of goods to his(the employee's) parole officer? Why?

As you all know I loathe BFL.

I think Inaba is the worst example of the bitcoin community we could currenty find and  the trust placed in a morally bankrupt convicted con (Sonny) is simply staggering. I am an AU citizen so I am unsure how far I can get doing this internationally but I will be contacting the USA police and requesting to speak / have contact with Sonny's Probation officer to follow up on queries and conerns  raised in these forums.

I shall also log all concerns I have with the USA's version of Office of Fair Trading.

As Sonny seems content to insist that stealing 26 Million USD from senior citizens is just an innocent misunderstanding where the big bad American and Italian governments decided to arbritiarilly pick on a single company because they were bored and felt like being big meanies. His words and everything said on his behalf I discount as pure grade A bullshit delivered by a known con & convict who is still playing the con.

So several phones calls later I shall update/ start a new thread with each complaint and query logged against BFL.
If nothing comes of it, nothing does but at least we will know that the proper authorities are aware and keeping an eye on things.
I have previous experience with decepitve / out right lying companies - I am one of several responsible for seeing dodo.com.au issued with the 2 highest fines ever in Australian Telco history (0.25 mil and 0.38 mil) for lying to clients, misleading advertising and generally being a 'BFL'.

I encourage every concerned USA citizen to log a query with Sonnys parole officer and again with your office of fair trading regarding BFL trading practices.

To clarify, if at the end of my inquiries I turn up nothing further I still rate BFL is a despicable company - a text book example of how to everything wrong and be absolute cunts to your clients until you desperately need to do damage control (Sonny's history coming to light).

Contrary to what the public records seem to indicate, he's not the CEO of BFL - Sonny Chris Vleisides is not the CEO, Chris Vleisides (his stepfather) is the President (as opposed to his natural father, James Ray Houston, who was listed on the indictment) and Nasser Ghoseiri is the CEO - the confusion is understandable what with all the similar names, step and biological fathers and BFL's seeming hatred of titles. Sonny is an upper-level executive within the company, but he's not the absolute head, nor is his stepfather.

As for point 2), it says in Sonny's case file

As long as Sonny's paid his $100 fine, he's satisfied all financial obligations in full. As such, he can sell and transfer assets without breaching his probation.

Sonny's middle name is same as his stepfather's. I also find all this confusing, and even I'm not entirely sure if that's all correct (Maybe Inaba can confirm?)

Chris Vleisides is not Sonny Vleisides. From what I understand, Sonny Vleisides is the guy who 2) is refering to, and Chris Vleisides is his stepfather, who, as far as we know, has no criminal record.

TL;DR; Chris and Sonny are two different people.
