Oh, how this thread has drifted. This was supposed to be about Josh's good news that he has joined BFL, instead it's become a big debate and drama thread. Shouldn't we be moving this over to the "ASIC mining processor" thread?

Plug will be the same (5.0mm OD, 2.5mm ID), so it's possible to use the same plug.

Nasser,

Are you Nasser Ghoseiri, as reported in this interview?: http://codinginmysleep.com/interview-with-sonny-vleisides/
Is this you, a senior FPGA engineer?: http://fr.viadeo.com/en/profile/nasser.ghoseiri
Is this your Facebook page?: http://www.facebook.com/nasser.ghoseiri (this person "liked" BFL)
How can you be BFL Chief Technology Officer... http://news.yahoo.com/butterfly-labs-announces-next-generation-asic-lineup-054626776.html
...when you post on Facebook, this month, that you started working for a large european bank: http://www.facebook.com/nasser.ghoseiri/timeline/story?ut=32&wstart=1346482800&wend=1349074799&hash=10151430077673378&pagefilter=3&ustart=1
Did you recently resign, or significantly reduced your involvement with BFL?

I have no doubt BFL will continue to succeed and grow without you, but if the above is true, I think customers would like answers.
Wow. Stalk much?

The kids have got this crazy thing called Goo-gal or something now. It's like you put in a name and it goes BANG and there you have it. I have no idea how this is even legal.

Regarding employement for a bank, I'm a senior IT consultant / architect there. It is necessary to be an employee for maintaining your residency permit until you obtain nationality. The time I dedicate to our corporation has dramatically increased during the last 4 months, to about 7 hours during work days and a minimum of 25 hours during the weekend.

You seem to be saying that your position as CEO (or was it CTO?) of Butterfly Labs does not meet the US government's definition of employment.  Is this correct?

In France, it's best to be a French corporation employee. Anything other than that requires a lot of explanation and complicates your profile, especially as a foreign resident.

Ah, I had assumed this was in the US in Kansas City.  I guess I should have read the links a bit more thoroughly.

Not meaning to be difficult but do you mean 2.5mm/5.5mm plugs or have you changed the plug type to 5.0mm OD?  Thanks

I wonder the same BFL-Engineer Smiley.

Yes it's 5.5mm/2.5mm barrel jack, like the actual single.

Regards,
Nasser

Thanks for the reply Nasser! It helps me alot Smiley.

Quote
Contrary to what the public records seem to indicate, he's not the CEO of BFL - Sonny Chris Vleisides is not the CEO, Chris Vleisides (his stepfather) is the President (as opposed to his natural father, James Ray Houston, who was listed on the indictment) and Nasser Ghoseiri is the CEO - the confusion is understandable what with all the similar names, step and biological fathers and BFL's seeming hatred of titles. Sonny is an upper-level executive within the company, but he's not the absolute head, nor is is stepfather.

I'm an idiot. Would somebody explain to me exactly who is who and who is CEO of what as it's stated above?

I just now got to question and answer #86 of this in-depth interview.

Full disclosure: I'm long on Alpaca Wool INC (ALWO).

~Bruno~

No, you will not get any straight forward explanations, but I can assure you that you will get:

* Inaba's famous 2 page long  tantrums directed at you but with zero content.
* Awwwww pictures of Sonny and his baby and some grade A con artist bullshit.

Probably a joke..
They aren't quantum boxes he is holding. They are a technology developed for a space project. Called a Bloom Box. It produces energy rather than mining.

Google and a few other companies have been using them to produce cheap electricity.

Ref: http://onlygizmos.com/the-bloom-box-green-energy-for-the-future-video/2010/02/

Theres a 60 minutes video on it at the link above.

This might be useful to miners (in terms of cheap electricity) in the future.

Yes, I was joking about the Bloom Box. This is one of BF Labs' products.

That was a pretty lame interview.

That was a nice ad.

My opinion is probably a bit harsh, but there was significant amount of opinion, and product specs (e.g. wow what a great product), compared to hard question:answer format.

If I were to let my doubts consume me I would say it looks like a PR piece of journalism.  *shrugs*

It's funny that the comparison between Bill Gates' teenage driving without a license conviction and federal mail fraud was made.
