Yeah the difficulty re-targets every 2016 blocks.

The "developers" will have to continue to bankroll this coin (as they did 2 days ago) -- buying coins artificially high for a long period of time to get this moving and keep it moving.

Definite market manipulation going on here, as every miner didn't decide all of a sudden to start mining this coin at a high difficulty -- until -- the "man behind the mask" put an order in to buy 45k+ coins at almost 1000 sats each.  Once that got eaten up, then the difficulty changed to a lower value and miners continued to gobble every other buy quickly until the difficulty shot up again to even higher than before.

Or another theory is that a good portion of the pool hash was coming from the developers and they were just mining and then buying back their own coins to create market volume.  I dunno - what other pool has Songcoin with such a high hashrate besides Hash-to-Coins?  There was easily 3Gh/s coming from somewhere else.

now we are facing another awkward time. diff has been driven by hash-to-coins to skyhigh, and price has dropped to hell low.

last time diff retarget was on block 52920, this time it was on block 55440, i guess the diff retarget interval is 2520 blocks?

Woe - there goes the party.  LOL  That was a quick change.  A lot of hashing power made the blocks fly by fast.  Now it will be unprofitable to mine unless someone artificially buys at 900 sats or so.

This seems like a coin to mine and hold to 900 to 1000 sats -- as it will probably go back up in price in a few weeks.

to 1000 sat can be backovernight,to 5000 llike one week maximum

it  is small  rollercoaster

Right - but there are only 45k buys above 250 satoshis.  At the rate this coin is being mined -- they will all be fulfilled in a matter of hours.

Perhaps some of the high priced sellers will re-evaluate their pricing.  Or maybe the miners will actually start to hold onto their coins.  Hash-to-Coins -- one of the biggest pools for Songcoin does not auto sell Songcoin into BTC -- which is a good thing.

This is fun to watch I admit…  It is like alt-coin trading 101.

What other miners do is their own business. If they just dump for btc they might lose out on market activity. I'm mining a little and being patient with the market.  Agreed it is fun to watch.

Right - that has always been weird on updating.  Hash-to-Coins is indicating their POOL hash of 4581 Mh/s.  Then they say the coin's NET hash is 3606 Mh/s.

Well - it is definitely going to require some regular buying at above 150 satoshis -- otherwise it will die off pretty quick and not be mined.

Which is currently happening. Buys around 300-400. Let's just see where the market and developments take it.

Very nice jump... any announcements I missed or is it just market activity?
I believe it's just market activity

Looks kind of random... down to 699 this morning... strange...
No matter how random, it's still market activity by definition.  Most likely someone pumped/acquired. Overall market trend looka good, regardless of the dramatic rise and fall from yesterday.  I think it will go down a bit more before regular market trend resumes
