So it looks like Songcoin may be stuck at a high difficulty for a long long time. The beginning of their thread says that the difficulty resets every 3.5 days, but if you look further it says:
2016 blocks to retarget difficulty
That is bad bad bad news. With the difficulty extremely high and a block found every 3 hours -- or 8 blocks a day -- then are we talking 6 months or more till a retarget?
Is this coin already dead??
If this is true -- the only way to get it moving is for the value of each coin to rise dramatically so people will want to mine it. I guess the developers could purchase coins at an artificially high price on C-Cex. I mean that is what they were doing when the difficulty was low. LOL
Someone needs to clarify this, as it says 3.5 days everywhere. Not cool! Transactions will move like sludge!

Difficulty should drop any hour now -- as it resets every 3.5 days. Quite a flaw in the coin for the mining difficulty to remain static for so long.

Observation: market notation and trading is only the start of a coin, having a long term sustained model behind it will allow it to survive long term... I've been reading up on this coin and the premise looks promising, still searching for the economic model behind the coin: i.e. business transactions, payment gateways,etc... I understand a lot is in development so I'll be following closely as new features are getting released... don't take too long

It will be very good if developers will fix link to forum on Songcoin page,now if to click forum link on site,it is redirecting to btctalk index.It confuse newbies,people who may be interested in songcoin etc,link has to redirect to songcoin thread,it is small thing,but importent like small details are often very importent
