...the forum has been quiet lately?  I stumbled upon Pakcoin and would be highly interested in continuous investment in this coin....

Same thoughts - potential name & coin, but not much activity in here, only twitter - which is most likely a bad sign.

Hello,

the forum has been quiet lately?  I stumbled upon Pakcoin and would be highly interested in continuous investment in this coin. It has shown steady growth over period of time. However I noticed there are not much updates about local merchants and markets where the coin is being accepted. Can you please provide fresh data about what are you doing in terms of marketing the coin to bring more local merchants in your network. I think this would be a great idea to buy and spend this coin in Pakistan if there's wider commercial acceptance.

I want to know about the team members and marketing plan of PakCoin.

No info on team members, even on the official website.

Very Bad.
Team is not disclosed yet. May be disclosed in future. Mentioning the team won't make much difference.

I own 250k PAK.

The roadmap is almost two years out of date and a Git-hub source-code commit has not occurred for over a year. I can only see 1 person regularly mining these coins on the pool. These are facts.

The project has a good idea however it will die within the next months and end up being 1 Satoshi in the Cryptopia coin graveyard unless you get some new developers onboard and fresh enthusiasm. This is speculation with a good chance of becoming a fact.

There are millions of software developers in Pakistan, can you not get a few good ones to help you out to finish the idea and make it reality ?

Thanks for your input.
I think you have jumped to the conclusion very quickly. I have updated the roadmap in the OP which was updated on the website couple of months ago.
Code commit isn't needed on github right now because there isn't anything deficient for the pakcoin blockchain or network, we will update the code if and when necessary for the project.
Please look at the data here about mining https://chainz.cryptoid.info/pak/#!extraction
Pakcoin is being mined at 7 different pools, only one person on the pakcoin pool doesn't mean that pakcoin has no mining activity.
I must say that our idea has become a fact and is not a mere speculation now because there are more than 14 merchants accepting pakcoins in Pakistan and more are willing to accept it, just need time because everything being done is without the help of third-party. Yes I agree that we need to get more devs on board and we are getting assistance.
It's just matter of time when spending pakcoins would be more easier and more merchants would be accepting pakcoins.

Pakcoin is focused on Pakistani population inside and outside Pakistan and welcomes non Pakistani as well. Like auroracoin is for Icelandic and Bolivar is for Venezuela.
Pak is being accepted at few local merchants and more merchants being interested in accepting pak, so people would use it. It is being daily used for mobile topups through ewallet.pakcoin.org. Interestingly some merchants offer discounts on pakcoin payments and is same with mobile topup service through pakcoin.

If its not illegal can you show some proof of where it says its Legal in Pakistan ?

Can you show me some proof where it is called illegal some SRO or some ruling by state bank you can't because there is none.
And for your info urdubit.com the first pak bitcoin exchange is working in Pakistan and FBR  has issued them the instructions that you must report your earnings and profits of your customers so that capital gain tax can be recovered from them on their profits.
How FBR can demand tax on something which you say is illegal.so surely it's not illegal in the eyes of FBR.
However There is more clarity required in Pakistan that will it be accepted as a currency or only a commodity.
I think for a long time it will be stated as a commodity only bcz there is capital gain tax on commodity and there is no tax on currency.
