Yeah my only hiccup was that I couldn't name it PCL as it was a built-in token name.  I just named it Peculium.

Did and followed every step to update old PCL to new PCL successful with MEW and took me only 10 minutes.
Very easy guide with step by step detail with the images to help the newbie. Thank you, PECULIUM Team.

Any update about listing on exchanges still not get succeed to trade this token anywhere. When it will go live on Hitbtc although it is listed on Idex but there is no volume we need to see it on big exchange for good volume and move price into healthy environment.

smart-contracts are immutable. They can´t change it once it is on the blockchain. So they had to replace it with a brand new contract.

The devs made their decision(s) not in order to annoy their investors & put themselves into the uncomfortable position to do all the extra-work they had to do now.

If you are using Metamask it´s even faster, no need to follow any tutorial. Just put in the number of your PCL and click 1 button - done.

That method is still confusing for majority of the people why not dev do this like so many other projects did this and make upgrade the tokens by themselves. I also think these are common mistakes which is happening during do this manually anyway this will be done one day.

If afterwards you can not verify that you have new PCL:
- "Bad instruction" for the 2nd transaction means "There was a typo/wrong input" in step1
- please do the process again from step1

With 95% probability the typo/wrong input has been done at _spender or _unit256:

Please take special care to enter the right content to the "spender"- and "_unit256" - fields

_spender: Please use the address mentionied in the guide! DO NOT use your own ETH address!

_unit256: Make sure to enter the correct amount. Just take your exact PCL balance and multiply it by 100.000.000 and enter the result. If you enter a lower amount, less tokens will be converted and you'll have to do it again. If you enter a higher amount, the update will fail and you'll have to do it again

If everything went smoothly you should see two relevant transfers . First-in-time of them is "out" to the contract of 0x3618516f45cd3c913f81f9987af41077932bc40d

The second one is "in" from the contract of 0x3618516f45cd3c913f81f9987af41077932bc40d

Go to https://etherscan.io/  and check your address

hello guys. i am very curious about this updating of PCL. i would like to ask something about this.

first, in updating PCL , will the supply be affected? i mean the total supply?
second, is there  any deadline for updating PCL tokens?

How do I verify that the contract update was successful? I did mine with no problems….was helping a friend out and first got a Out Of Gas error. Tried again and received another Out Of Gas Error. Tried a third time and received a Bad Instruction error. By this time the little ether in her was was getting low so we transferred some more ether in and waited until it was confirmed. Then I tried again and received another Bad Instruction error. Not sure if this was a success or not, any ideas?

I guess exchanges were having problems listing PCL due to defrost function. Hitbtc listed PCL for a while and then pair was removed because they had to defrost every address. You can read the full Article in below link, why this step was taken.

no defrosting anymore, Frosting melted away, died - this week, for all times.

The only thing you have to do now is "update" your PCL, this is the last change - promissed!

- everybody (defrosted or not) will have to do this update for their PCL-token
- make sure that your transaction from step 1 was successful before you proceed to step 2

If you are using Jaxx, ImToken or Eidoo-Wallet:

Export your JSON-file/private key from your Jaxx/ImToken/Eidoo-wallet. Then import in MEW / Metamask and do the whole routine described in the guide.

1 more setting to check before starting:
Go to your Ethereum-Ledger-App first and change:
Set Settings —-> Contract data: Yes

When you arrive at "access your wallet" you will decide for "Ledger".

You should upgrade your tokens even if you have goal to hold this for long term. I would suggest you to read this update which is really important for all investors.

If you are getting error using MEW than ignore it won't effect on the transaction sometimes it shows this error but works smoothly. If you follow the steps correctly than I hope you will get succeed to upgrade your tokens.

In the name of the dev´s: sorry for the extra-mile! This action was required by the community to make listing at HitBTC available asap and it was not possible to write a script for the defrosting-procedure of each new PCL-wallet they will open per user.

I did every step in MEW exactly per the instructions and I get a "nonce too low" error.  Any ideas why it's not working?

I very much agree with you. Why cant the team do the swapping of contract address? It will be easier if doing so rather than risking the investors old pcl. This is not the first time, actully bitclave switched to new contract address after ico. But what they did was, its auyomatically converted and inveztors did not worried. I hope they will  consider this.

This whole process of swapping to new contract could be much more easy and faster if team was taking responsibility. They could change that contract more efficiently than users. It seems that they put their investors in trouble to go through a procedure which isn't easy and pleasant for everyone. This is first thing disappointed me about this team.

Hi mate, thank you for this details. Actually i jist read the meduim article for a clear step by step. But  just dont see the reason why we need to update PCL? And why do we need to change contract address, what happened to old contract address?

Oh mate, that´s a tricky one... I guess I would have done something similar.

But great to know, you are fine now & that we can go on with the roadmap without further interruptions...
