Please note my wallet started to stake from block 794104.
Please Advise (wallet over 1 yr old)

edit: just checked cryptopia and it's showing block height 794285. so looks like i'm synced with them. (gonna try a coin transfer.)
Transfers looking good 63 confirmations, will be available after 200 confirmations.

Nice......

I only just realized that the information about PHS in Coinmarketcap.com was incorrect.
I've contacted them to share with them the new website, block explorer, and official Github repository.

Wish you guys a good weekend!

Thanks for contacting Coinmarketcap.com. I have seen that the links to tho website, the block explorer and github are already working again on Coinmarketcap.com for PHS now.

The CoinInfo section at Cryptopia has a basic Explorer that shows which PhilosopherStone block it is on at any given moment.  This at least lets you know if you are on the same block as they are.  Since this is currently the only exchange where you can trade PHS I guess it should be the authority until a better Explorer has been re-established.

http://philosopherstones.org/block/ works well.
nice job,Thanks!

I have some stability issues with scrypt code in 1.6.6.4 under Windows and I took the one from Hobonickels. If your code works on all platforms I'll add it.

Until today this fork is running on my Raspberry Pi3 on Kali-Linux for about one week, but I have not seen any stability issues yet. Maybe avoiding the usage of SSE2 in combination with the new additional "src/scrypt-arm.S"-file for ARMv7-cpus improves the stability.

Currently the Windows code on a x86-cpu is still the same as in your 1.6.6.7 fork. Only if an ARMv7 cpu is detected the new "src/scrypt-arm.S"-file is used and SSE2 is not used (no #include ). I just merged manually this commit
https://github.com/feldenthorne/Diamond/commit/01046753bf3e566d000854a41a2417493bd8db7c#diff-692b9d8596020ed1936d7f5af9508722
in your 1.6.6.7 fork.
But you could try if the stability is better on windows if you avoid SSE2 and use "src/scrypt-arm.S"-file for all cpus.

By the way compiling was a little bit tricky because the of the dependency on the old openssl versions (p.e. 0.9.8g)
Newer openssl versions might fail due to this bug/missing commit:
https://github.com/bitcoin/bitcoin/commit/4ec3561eb3473638230ef780b41343bc6284b460
If you have trouble with openssl installation change the hardcoded openssl-PATHEes in the *.pro-files and try to compile with
make SUBLIBS=-L/usr/local/ssl/lib

New 1.6.6.7 fork for ARMv7, (p.e. Raspberry Pi2+3)

Hi VladK,
Thanks for your new version 1.6.6.7. But unfortunately the majority is still using 1.6.6.4. Sure the link on http://philosopherstones.org/ points to the basic 1.6.6.4 version. But another reason might be that you just offer a binary for 64bit Windows. Until Yesterday it was not possible to compile it on Raspberry PI. But now it is possible with this fork: https://github.com/toxtox/philosopherstone
Please have a look at the pull request for merging this feature into your fork: https://github.com/VladK75/philosopherstone/pull/1

Running PhilosopherStone-wallet on a low power consumption device with ARMv7 would make the POS only coin even GREENER!
(Even when the wallet is permanently running 24/7 as full node for stabilizing the network and for bringing 1.6.6.7 version a head!)

Thank you for helping PHS developing. I'll check your pull request. I have some stability issues with scrypt code in 1.6.6.4 under Windows and I took the one from Hobonickels. If your code works on all platforms I'll add it.
If somebody needs Raspberry version right now, they can use your repository.

New version is out.
You can check changes in the source code on GitHub - https://github.com/VladK75/philosopherstone
Binaries and new bootstrap here - https://github.com/VladK75/philosopherstone/releases/tag/v1.6.6.7

Unfortunately no fancy graphics for now.

This release adds two reward halving in Sept 2019 and Sept 2021, and allows longer transaction messages to be compatible with modern version of Florincoin.

Aside form these the release is intended more for the new users. It has DNS seeds and is looking for bootstrap file in the same folder with the client.

I also speed up bootstrapping for about 20%, but it is less secure now. Do not use bootstrap file from untrusted source.

To avoid hard fork everybody should use descenders of this release before first halving. But it will be in two years.

How often should a wallet be backed up?

From Bitcoin Wiki:

The wallet file contains the private keys for change addresses, and they can receive and send coins normally. However, the GUI in the default client does not display them in the address book, therefore a recommendation is to backup wallet.dat every 50 transactions.

PHS uses the same mechanic. So it's good idea to backup your wallet after every 50 outgoing transaction. Incoming and stake transaction doesn't count. They use no change addresses.

Why has coin market cap not been updated to show correct stats? Maybe reach out to them.

Once the wallet has synced I also see error message: "Warning. Checkpoint is too old. Wait for blockchain to download or notify developers".

I know circulating supply is about 6 million but what about total supply?

Coinmarketcap use their own algorithms to determine circulating supply.
You can get total supply with getinfo method of your wallet, like in any other bitcoin based coin.
Also it's shown in http://philosopherstones.org/block/ in Money Supply column. It's about of 6012410PHS at time of posting.

The max total supply is not set for now, but I expect to be around 20 million coins before supply of new coins will almost ceased in 2025.

You can safely ignore checkpoint warning for now. I will fix it in the next release.

Thank you! I sent a message to CMC a few days ago and it seems they have now updated the stats.

DrKool you are RIGHT! Thanks for your motivational words.
I have hesitated in coming out with the new client because I am trying to get all the imagery sorted and consistent with the wallet and website. I have let the ball drop while waiting for a certain talented artist to get back with me about the rendering of the stone on which to base much of the colors and artwork around. That horrid blue coin needs to be replaced and retired. That and the sigil in the background needs to be replaced as well. It is imperative to me that the upgrade looks like a step forward, with original artwork instead of borrowed graphics.
Interestingly enough, when I dumped 80k onto the exchange it seems to have livened things up in here. As more people have become active on this and the discord room. However, I am all about ONLY buying and holding until the price gets to at least $5
At that point the entire crypto cap would need to be 10x as big, because I do not see phs getting in the top 10. However, after we re-ann with the new client and website and updated supply our marketcap will be twice as big, and we will not be listed around 600th anymore.

In order to generate more interest in this altcoin, perhaps we could all take it upon ourselves to make it more liquid by listing things to buy and sell on Cyptopia or on our own website. Listings there are without fee from my understanding. Here is an example. https://www.cryptopia.co.nz/MarketItem/5416
