UPDATE: Got a response from Patrick at Cryptsy. He has given the request for PIR to the devs to add to the voting list. He also said he really loves the coin and the web site for it.
Awesome. Let's just hope Patrick's opinion means something.

I sent a tweet to @CryptsyKen to add PIR to the new voting section of Cryptsy. They finally got a good system for adding new coins!
EDIT: Also sent a support request through Cryptsy to get it added to the list to vote for.

We don't have much of a community right now. Changing the letters should be an attempt to gain a larger community, rather than an effort to just maintain the current.
It started off as PTC, still displayed that way in the wallet. Then to PIR, which is how it's listed at AllCrypt and what it's been known as for the last 6 weeks or so. No matter if it stays PIR or changes to something else, the wallet needs updated to reflect the new acronym. Around 7.5 million out of the 20 million coins have been mined so far so we should agree on something soon and move forward. Do we have access to the initial post in this thread to update if need be?

It has been PIR for most of existence thus far. Listed on allcrypt as PIR and has been promoted as PIR as well. I think it would just add confusion to change it for a third time.
