Scheduled zPIV Support Deprecation - DEC/01/2020

Finally, the time has come to stop supporting our old protocol to move forward with our next SHIELD phase.
So as mentioned in the development updates for quite some time, zPIV support will soon come to an end.

When is this happening?
- 1st of December 2020

What is happening?
- zPIV Spend (both v1 & v2) capability will be deactivated on both mainnet & testnet.
- It means that if you don't spend zPIV ASAP, you will LOSE them forever.

Does it affect me?
- If you never owned any PIVX before March 2019, or only have coins on exchanges or mobile, then NO.
- If you have a positive zPIV balance showing next to your PIV balance in your core desktop wallet, then YES!

I have zPIV balance showing, what do I do?
- You must spend the zPIV denominations back to your own PIVX address to convert them back to PIV.
- This can be done from the Privacy tab on the left of your PIVX desktop wallet. No Tx fees are incurred.
- If you need help, please ask in PIVX Discord #support. DO NOT accept any DM support. (unless publicly verified)

Now, for those who are thinking that we must be very close to the 5.0 release, you are right. Wink

PIVX v4.3.0 RC1 core wallet has been released, and wallet binaries are now available for download.

This 1st release candidate for major 4.3.x build is a pre-final release for public testing and feedback.
It includes significant core and network upgrades to make it sync faster, use less resources, be more stable, while also squashing many bugs.

So far, we've already received some very positive feedback on it being stable, faster, and using less resources.

He left this project to start a new project nearly 2 years ago.

I agree, I can't believe it's not in the top 100 coins given how many other projects are based off PIVX. The new wallet looks great and I'm really keen to see v5 come out with the new privacy features.. That should give it some more exposure, hopefully PIVX has a good marketing plan once they're ready to step back into the spotlight.
