Someone was looking on page 1? I think no. Time to check it out.

PS: It is 535 pages before this page.

looks correct to me , release date, emission, burn, we are all looking at discord actually, but some come here from time to time with updates, many on this sort of archiving platform such as is bitcoin forum has such threads running, saying that maybe will be a good idea to archive and start a new, but since we are not hiding anything this is good enough, join discord or stay here! its a free world

stay in for 4.1 release update its big and a nice one! believe jakiman will lend his valuable time for this

Put the fun back into banking!
Bit of a late update here but 4.1 rc1 was released last week and is available for everyone to try / test.

https://github.com/PIVX-Project/PIVX/releases/tag/v4.1.0rc1

As mentioned in the previous dev update above, this new release uses around 900 MB of RAM instead of 2.6 GB!
Also has tons of UI/UX improvements, much faster and smoother network sync, better overall performance etc.
Testing has been going well with many minor issues being addressed before its final release possibly next week!

Once 4.1 Final has been released, will update here.

gonna try it out

New Exchange Listing - LATOKEN exchange, the largest IEO (Initial Exchange Offering) market according to the research firm InWara, and ranked in the Top 20 on coinmarketcap.com by trade volume, has listed PIVX on their main trading platform. Trading is live on USDT, BTC, ETH, LA, and TRX markets, as well as being added as a new payment option for funding on their IEO Launchpad.

Press Release: https://pivx.org/latoken-exchange-lists-pivx/

With much respect, jakiman, I don't think Pivx should be proud to announce such an exchange.

IEO, IPO, ICO, however they call it, it's the same cancer disrupting crypto for yeas now. Besides that, I could only find negative experiences and their garbage tokens that only they deal with (apart from hitbtc for some reason). Any exchange with their own token should be laughed at, but I digress.

But as we all know, in the wonderful world of decentralization, a single source of information and numbers from a single centralized source are usually not accurate, especially if it's beneficial to them to massage the numbers to their own advantage. CMP's one huge issue is that they are willing to list any exchange as long as they have a public API. Then again, anyone could create a website with a falsely inflated API. And they do.

The key world in the pivx article is "reportedly".

But there's this: "Disclaimer: Any third-party services mentioned are not endorsed by PIVX team and are provided for informational purposes only."

In which case I'm absolutely baffled, why did it even make on pivx.org's announcements section? If not for monetary reasons, it's either hopefully an oversight or I'm sorry, but plain stupidity.

Yeah, as you and we all know, this market is still a minefield unfortunately. Team & community members work to try and get PIVX accepted and used in as many places as possible. Obviously, not all are the best of places but we are trying our best to be just a crypto"currency" so all we can do is accept and embrace that PIVX is being used/accepted/supported. I'm the kind that do try best to give the benefit of the doubt. So until 1-2 DEX's become the main go-to form of exchanging crypto, we will unfortunately (but could also be fortunately) have these CEX's to deal with really...

BTW, many of the PIVX team are non-paid volunteers (e.g. me) and I just had the time to write this one up like a PR. But maybe it gave it too much lime light? (Hmm. I agree.) But we've also been trying to utilize our website in addition to our social media account lately. Hence the recent news/updates mostly all have a post to go along with it. And yeah, other than the blatantly obvious no-no's, we've never really tried to censor too much and have mentioned nearly every exchange or service announcements with a DYOR tag. (at least on twitter posts)

Thanks for the feedback btw. I take all of it positively and learn from it. Wink

[New Privacy Protocol Announcement]

We are super proud to finally reveal the next privacy protocol for PIVX.

Advanced zk-SNARKs privacy using the Sapling protocol of ElectricCoinCo, creator of Zcash, will be integrated into our full time Proof of Stake (PoS) network, enabling user selectable public and private transactions of PIVX.

Sapling will be in every way better than the Zerocoin Protocol used in the past, with smaller proofs, faster verification, more logical to use, more versatile, better researched, and has greater potential for additional functionalities in the future.

Please check out the full press release for more info: https://pivx.org/zk-snarks-coming-to-pivx/

In the wallet v3 there has been an "enable zPIV Automint" checkbox, along with  a percentage of autominted zPIV. I do not find them in v4. Are they no longer needed?

zPIV minting has been disabled from earlier this year due to a vulnerability risk.
However, any existing zPIV can be spent publicly back to PIV with just released 4.0.
We expect a new privacy protocol to appear in the 5.0 release sometime in 2020.

thx jakiman for that info - wasn't sure about zPiv being activated in Version 4, OK - can wait for Version 5 this year.
