Just to let you know the hashx stats are now missing, I did see the earlier today.

Thanks - just a stale caching issue that had to be fixed, it's resolved now.

just tried the neoscrypt port constantly getting waiting for work, work available, waiting for work and so on  Undecided any ideas

also how longs the hashx beta price going on for? i really must buy some more

I get that same issues, but I still get about 75-80KH/s per 280x. The weird thing I can't figure out is at another neoscrypt pool I don't get the waiting for work every other line, but still am at 75-80KH/s. So basically I just ignore it, as long as your speed is reporting correctly in your miner and at the pool, don't worry about it, neoscrypt is new and buggy.

I can get only 59KH/s per 280x, Gigabyte, cards 55C/1950rpm. No difference AMD driver is 13.12 or 14.9 (last with 13.12 .bin-s).
cgminer.exe --neoscrypt -u [stratum+user+pass] --no-submit-stale -I 13 -g 4 -w 128 --gpu-fan auto --gpu-engine 1075 --gpu-memclock 1500 gpu-powertune 0
Need to do something, but no idea, these are best settings...

Thanks.  What is override mode?  Probably brings me on to my next question which is how coins are prioritised?

ipoMiner used to operate with fully manually control of the multiport coin selection. That model worked well when there were enough new coins on a weekly basis, the number of algorithms was more limited, and the majority of coins weren't all just short 3-4 day POW mining periods.

A few weeks ago, I implemented automatic switching based on profitability, as the default for determining what is mined on the multiports. "Override mode" basically lets me manually bypass the automatic switching when a promising new coin is available. When a coin is on the multiport in override mode, it would be mined 100% of the time until normal automatic switching is resumed.

In automatic switching mode, coins are prioritized by profitability (BTC/Mh/day), which refers to the amount of BTC you can expect to earn in a day by mining that coin. Coins can be added or removed from the automatic switching mechanism, if for some reason they aren't as desirable to mine as profitability might indicate. One example is that we're currently not mining URO on the multiport even though it has reasonably high profitability for some blocks, simply because the difficulty is too high for our X11 pool hashrate to find blocks in a timely fashion.

I really like the research you do into promising new coins, that's why I point my miner to ipominer, I'm primarily speculating.  Would it be possible to identify somewhere on the site which coins are mined speculatively and which ones are mined for profit?

Speculatively mined coins are typically new (0-4 days old), and often don't have an exchange yet - or if they do, it's only smaller ones. Older coins have been added more recently to help stabilize profitability when new/speculative coins are not available.

I do intend to add a way for everyone to identify when a new coin is on override mode on a multiport.

Added RubyCoin as an option for the scrypt multiport to mine, and on its own direct port on 3471.

I think if you see waiting for work constantly with neoscrypt you are using too many threads for your GPU. Try using a lower -g setting. You could also try different worker difficulty setting, or adjusting scan/queue/expiry on your miner. I use: -scan-time 1 --expiry 1 --queue 0

It may also just be a bug with the ancient version of cgminer they're using...

HashX will move out of beta when I finish building purchase processing of HashX orders into the site, so you're safe for a bit longer Smiley It's in progress though!

There was a hardware failure on our main database server at 8:18AM EDT this morning, which led to website outage (frontend-only) until approximately 5:20 PM this afternoon. It has now been resolved and everything is operational again. Fortunately, mining was not affected, and only the frontend was down during that time. Sorry about the delayed response and lack of updates on this today - I went to bed an hour before the failure happened, after working all night on the interface update.

(The only odd thing you should see now is on the coin statistics pages, the miner that found the block will be missing and the block stale rate calculation is flawed as a result.)

The new webpage sounds great, I'm looking forward to seeing it when the site is up again.
For now, a get request to www.ipominer.com returns an internal server error (500) and all I see is a blank page.
Can you take a look and post when the site is up again?
Thanks.

site and stratum down  Huh

There was a large scale DDoS attack that affected our hosting provider. It wasn't targeted at us, but it did cause several outages on both stratum services and ipoMiner.com.

There was an initial outage lasting for approximately 12 minutes, from 03:08 AM EDT to 03:20 AM EDT, and then sporadic availability issues beginning from 3:50 AM EDT until approximately 4:50 AM EDT. As of 5:10 AM EDT, the provider updated us that the attack had been successfully filtered and everything appears to be back to normal.

Site still down and having issues? Some reason not showing up.

The X13 section in the top header area has been replaced with a new section called "exotic algorithms", which includes all the algorithms we support other than scrypt and X11.

I'll be working on improving it a bit further in the next few days to include an algorithm label for each coin in that section, but I wanted to push the basic updated header live as soon as possible for everyone mining on the new algorithms we added recently.

DarkKush (DANK) has been added on the X13 multiport, and direct port 3732.

Also, note that SparkCoin's network continues to have multiple forks and needs attention from its developer to resolve. Payouts on it have been disabled for now, pending resolution of the fork. The developer hasn't been heard from for more than a day on the thread, so I have disabled the direct port for now and rerouted it to the X11 multiport.

Feathercoin mining using the neoscrypt algorithm is live! Get your miner setup and come mine the most ridiculously profitable coin of the day with us. We've found quite a few blocks so far Smiley

For mining neoscrypt with us, set your worker difficulty to what you would for the same hardware on scrypt mining -- we adjust it by 8x.

As an example, for a rig mining neoscrypt at ~440Kh/s with four 290x cards, I set a difficulty of 512 on the site, which will then get translated to a neoscrypt difficulty of 64.

Most miners will likely want to set a worker difficulty on the site of 64-512 for neoscrypt, although of course higher worker difficulty settings are supported if you have higher hashrates.

Awesome news about the new neoscrypt multiport.

Are we on the wrong SPARK fork or is Bittrex?  Tried to withdraw there several hours ago but nothing...

That's a good question. The SPARK block explorer isn't working, so it's hard to tell for sure. Suprnova, Suchpool, and Minerpools are on the same blockchain as we are, so my guess is that we'll end up on the winning side of a fork. Bittrex and one other smaller pool appear to be on their own fork.
