@saykor You should have WC confirmed after 8.75 hours from the time you begin mining it. It takes 350 confirmations from the time the block is initially mined, at a 1.5 minute block time.

@MrJoshwaa Could it be instability in your local internet connection? What port are you using on ipoMiner? I haven't seen any issues in my rigs that I have running on the multiport (port 3333), and our external monitoring service shows 100% uptime for the stratum server today. I'm happy to look into it more though. Do you have logs from your miner by chance? One possibility is that you're still pointed to the old proxy server because your miner hasn't re-resolved pool.ipominer.com via DNS to the new address yet -- can you try restarting your miner?

@kefir135 Definitely. We're going to add a page with information for coins, including the available exchanges. The announcement threads are usually a good place to find that info in the interim though, if you're stuck. Or pop by our IRC channel anytime - Freenode IRC, ##ipominer.

Thanks for the reply.

I have just restarted my miner, will see if that fixes it.

I did check my logs from during the night and it has been up and down maybe 15 times, and failed over to my backup pool.

Wouldn't have thought it was my internet connection, it is pretty solid but you never know.

Cheers

Another practical feature would be an advice indicator showing whether to hold or to sell a coin.
Looking at the price spike of ECC or ZEIT makes it pretty hard to judge when to sell coins.

How the indicator will predict this?

@ipominer - could you please add links to current exchanges/markets somewhere ? From profitability maybe, or from the ports list on the main page ? This would be very handy. Thanks.

After whole day of mining WC coin still 0 confirmed?

That doesn't sound right.  Its taking around 8 hours to confirm from what I have read.. I haven't done the math but that sounds about right.

@illiki23 Usually you can take the private key it was deposited to and import it into your other wallet. The transaction won't fail -- they can probably help, if they're inclined to do so.

Hail Eris!
@illiki23 Try getting in touch with Cryptsy support. They may be able to retrieve the keys for you and help you out.

I will, but I don't think there is anything they can do.   The transaction will obviously fail.  I just assumed the coins would be put back in the wallet after a time but if that is not the case I will just let it go.

@illiki23 No, it won't expire. Where did you send it? You might be able to help yourself if you sent it to your own wallet, or get the exchange to help if you sent it to one.

I sent it to a worldcoin wallet on Cryptsy.  My brain just connected WC and worldcoin.  It is only one day worth of mining, but it could have happened on a different day than today.

Hail Eris!
I just accidentally sent all the whitecoins I have mined to a worldcoin address?  Will that expire and be returned to my online wallet?

@jjj0923 I'm not try to be rude, but I doubt you do better than 0.033 btc/mh/day by picking coins on your own these days. You could certainly do better than 0.0033 btc/mh/day, but please note the extra zero there Smiley ipoMiner tends to consistently beat every other multipool by 20-40%+.

@fuzzi We do manually switch the majority of the time, as that's proven to be the best method for mining newer coins. Occasionally we will use either a difficulty or time based switching method if there are multiple coins we want to mine that we feel are roughly equal. We'll add other types of multiports in the future which do auto-switching based on profitability.

@roadies I'm in contact with the NiceHash developer.. they haven't been particularly helpful so far, just blaming "the pool". I'll keep you posted if anything comes out of it...

@ibfragalot The estimates for it were off due to a bug that I fixed now. You'll definitely earn far more than 48 coins per hour on WC right now at 6.3MH though Smiley

Cool, thanks. Another fantastic pick from you with WC. Great work!

WAH! Nicehash says we can't rent hash for ipominer because of too many stratum requests per u/p or something like that. Sad

Oh well... ebay is still handy.

My questions are-

1. do you manually switch to the next coin?
2. do you have any automated switching set up?

The reason i ask is that i see the coins switch every few days (like someone is doing it) and
have never seen it switch coins then back and so forth like an automatic switching system based on an algorithm.
Not complaining i'm actually curious. thanks
