We're mining just fine - we haven't gotten a WC block yet, so there are no stats to update from yet. The WhiteCoin network seemed a little wacky for a little while there -- block 215 to 216 took 20 minutes, when the block time should be 1.5 minutes. We've gotten a handful of blocks since then and they're displaying in the stats.

One thing to note is that WhiteCoin blocks take 350 confirmations -- at 1.5 minutes per block, that's 525 minutes (8.75 hours) for blocks to mature. Expect to see unconfirmed coins sitting there for quite a while.

The difficulty on WC sure shot up quick. I think another multi-pool was hammering it.

Is something wrong? Are we not mining anything?

I talked to MintPal and they confirmed: "We're having issues with a few of the wallets due to the high volume today, trying to resolve them as we can."

New In Town...
Just FYI, it seems like Mintpal is having issues with deposits on some coins currently. I've heard reports of IVC and BC deposits so far, but other coins may be affected as well.

I can confirm that my IVC transfer to Mintpal still isn't showing up (not even as pending) after 4-5 hours.

We try to beat the profitability of all the other multipools, and typically do by a pretty large margin. We also try to balance risk vs. profit appropriately - if we only mined pre-first-bubble coins, we would often either not have a good coin to mine, or have a lot more flops on our hands.

Is there anything better to be mining than ISR? I figured IpoMiner would be focusing on coins that were pre-first-bubble, but perhaps I assumed incorrectly?

Sometimes after the first bubble pops, the network hash rate also drops proportionally so it's still moderately profitable. The only coin listed on IPOminer with a higher BTC/MH/Day is IVC, and I don't believe it has a large enough total network hash rate to support the entire pool's hash rate. If you're tired of ISR, I'd recommend switching off the multiport to a single coin's port and just watching it until IPOminer has found something that interests you again.

The first post at https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/donated-2k-to-charity-clean-water-coin-a-crypto-charity-pure-pos-526513 has been updated with the new wallet, but check the comments around page 103-104 for instructions - you will need to take a copy of your wallet.dat and then wipe all the old blockchain info. Even with the new wallet and config file it seems to be pot luck whether it will sync or get stuck around block 8500, you may have to repeat the process a couple of times before it succeeds.

@illiki23 There's no way to mine LOVE on the multiport currently with 1GH/s of hashrate on the pool and 1.51 difficulty for the coin. We would only be increasing the difficulty unnecessarily against ourselves. There is a direct port for LOVE though, so of course it can be mined there by those who want to.

Hail Eris!
Even though the profitability might be a little less than the others we should mine Love.

It is extremely undervalued, because of IPO dumping, but the dumpers are out of the game and the coin is recovering.

If people keep mining and the hashrate keeps rising then the coin will take off.  It is very undervalued for the block reward.

There is more good news coming too for the coin, I know the developer has been very active.

The price on ISR has been been declining and profitability on it has been bouncing around, but it is still at 0.0054 btc/mh/day as of now. ECC also is still hanging on at 0.0054 currently, which makes it a worthwhile fallback currently if ISR gets any worse.

So it looks like the run with ISR is over.... what to mine now?

All the other listed coins have hit <0.00350 just now too, disappointingly.

what would you suggest to do with Water coin, i have a fair few sat on the pool, but bitrex is not accepting deposits due to wallet issues - any other exchanges i can sell them at?
They are now.  I just sent my measly amount of WATER over there...

ok great i will send them now - unfortunately not over 1.5million so no need to worry IPOMINER.  Grin

Thanks guys

EDIT - Water not showing in Bitrex wallets.... how did you deposit it?
The official name of the currency is "CleanWaterCoin" it's on page 2 of the wallets listing.  If you are going to the end looking for WATER... well, that's why it's not there Smiley

Well now you went and made me feel stupid.... thanks  Grin Grin Grin
