One day people will learn that all shit block rewards and insta-KGW do is give people with battlecruiser level server farms time to point them at a launch.  Only person this combo DOES stop is small miners who are tired of signing up to their 5924399th pool and would like to solo mine.

battlecruiser level, nice lol. I should like to have one of those!

There are currently 3578 QBC outstanding from mining as of block 217 (daily production is 14976). 24 x 0 QBC + 24 x 1 QBC+ 24 x 4 QBC + 24 x 13 QBC + 121 x 26 QBC

You can't have it both ways, Hirocoin gave away free blocks at the beginning with a ninja launch at easy difficulty but that creates whales amongst the holders. You can't be confident in buying a coin like that if someone holds a huge part of it (Zetacoin comes to mind). If it's easy for everyone, it's a lot easier for some, if it's hard for everyone, at least there's no surge of coins diluting the market.

I'd love to see a perfect solution but there are only imperfect ones right now. Some better than others.

See, thats where your logic fails.  It's not hard for people with large farms.  They will take the lions share. Always. It doesnt matter to them one bit if you pass out shit to start and crank the diff to stupid levels. They can cope.  What shit rewards+kgw mean is small miners will never be able to solo.  At all.  They're forced into their 214532th pool (moreso when you delay for 24 hours and STILL fail at a wallet)

Fuck sakes.... can the dev post the wallet rpc, port, addnode info in the OP? Some of these things should be standard practice on devs todo list... I dont want to scower pages looking for this.... quite a few have wallet sync problems already

I just added it, also updated all the pools currently available in the first post and on the website www.qbc.io and www.qbc.io/fr

no sync.

added:
addnode=54.86.39.92
addnode=54.85.54.67
addnode=54.86.58.113
addnode=54.86.60.197
addnode=54.86.60.189
addnode=54.84.203.45

no sync.

made two .conf files: quebecoin.conf, québecoin.conf

no sync.

made two directories in appdata\roaming\quebecoin\ and appdata\roaming\québecoin\

no sync.

Go to the wallet debug consol, manually type in "addnode 54.86.39.92 add" without the quotes and hit enter, do this for a few of the nodes you listed, it will sync, i'd move those conf files out of the folder first though for now.
worked. Thanks

I added the config file in appdata
added:
addnode=54.86.39.92
addnode=54.85.54.67
addnode=54.86.58.113
addnode=54.86.60.197
addnode=54.86.60.189
addnode=54.84.203.45

still no sync.

Try naming the file québecoin.conf

Code:
addnode=54.86.39.92
addnode=54.85.54.67
addnode=54.86.58.113
addnode=54.86.60.197
addnode=54.86.60.189
addnode=54.84.203.45
daemon=1
server=1
listen=1

Yeah definitely name your file québecoin.conf and you should be good to go.

JP - try it without the existing peers.dat and the windows wallet won't sync even with the correct addnode lines.  When you add them manually from the debug console it works because these are saved to peers.dat directly.  The wallet doesn't seem to be reading the config file no matter if it is named with or without the acute accent.

Add the nodes manually in the wallet console = help>debug window>console.

Like this:

addnode 54.86.39.92 add
addnode 54.85.54.67 add
etc.

You might need to restart the wallet and wait a while but it does sync. eventually after a few minutes mine did.

Can anyone tell me why my hash isn't registering with any pool?
I have 2 that have done this to me, and I was just mining darkcoin with this sgminer I am using, just switched url and port.

Wallet won't sync.

Dev, what is real name of the .conf file so the wallet could be properly configured without adding nodes manually.. etc. ?

quebecoin.conf

Add the following nodes to it:

addnode=54.86.39.92
addnode=54.85.54.67
addnode=54.86.58.113
addnode=54.86.60.197
addnode=54.86.60.189
addnode=54.84.203.45

I already have all of that in quebecoin.conf and québecoin.conf file (just in case) in roaming folder, but when I start wallet with -server option I get an error window with
something about rpcpassword and rpcuser...etc. which I already have a set.

WHO would even continue to mine something that started without a windows qt??

battle cruiser server farms always use linux too... so double destruction on this one.

Oh man 15 minutes without windows QT! This sure is a failed launch. Amongst the better launches I've seen in these forums to be honest, the coin is adjusting nicely to all the miners, it's clearly well built. OP had some problems, so what, it was fixed within 15 fucking minutes. Go back to mining H20 coin with three failed launches after an IPO.

Being less terrible than others does not make you good.
