An interesting idea. Tell me at what stage of implementation your project and when the work will be completed?
Hey leithaleget, we're just over 2 months since launch. In that time, we've expanded our team out to 5 contributing members (3 in the US, 1 in Canada, and 1 in Brazil) and have been working non-stop! The first month was about getting the project launched, establishing a stable mainnet, building the community, and starting to build the tools around the project. The second month has been about engaging with charities and organizations, and learning and adapting from that process.
A few weeks ago we enrolled our first partnership into our CharityNodes beta program:
http://animalfriendsjogja.org/page/partner.php . Connecting and partnering with a charity that had no prior blockchain experience and bringing them on board was a great milestone to build from. We've had interest from several other organizations and we're working hard to foster new connections as well as make it as easy as possible for charities to participate.
We're all about educating charities and non-profits and helping them to understand how the blockchain can positively impact not only how they receive donations and support, but also how they provide support to their causes and conduct their daily operations. We see Rapture as performing many functions, the obvious case being a vehicle for sending/receiving support and donations, but also something that can provide utility to them beyond just converting to fiat. One of our biggest priorities is the whitepaper, which clearly outlines the goals and applications of the project.
Another priority at the moment is a complete rework of our logo, visuals, website, and apps. Our mobile apps are in development (the iOS app is getting very close). Coinciding with the publishing of the whitepaper will be the new visuals, and they're looking stunning! The new logo feels bolder, more positive, and more accurately communicates our goal of having the project be as open and accessible to all faiths, backgrounds, and cultures. With this rollout, we'll be making a push to get much broader exposure for the project. Our exposure has been very limited so far, but we feel that almost everyone that has found our project has been behind the goals and has been encouraged by seeing how committed the team is. We've started as a small, grass roots project, very anti-ICO in nature, favoring the approach of growing with purpose. In terms of "when will the work be completed", we're checking items off the roadmap as quickly as we can, and for every item we complete it feels like we add two more new items that feel even more important! The community has done an amazing job of introducing new ideas, concepts and approaches for the project, and with those the plan is to keep growing and making something that we believe in.
Hope that helps explain a bit about the project!
