New Mining Calculator available to estimate very quickly and roughly the earnings.

Turns out Riecoin Mining can be surprisingly profitable...

Calculator is quite accurate!

Hello everyone!

If i do regular mining can i run for the record or must be only in the benchmark mode, and if i find the block in benchmark mode is it seen in the wallet?

join discord and ask Pttn there for a faster response

It must be the Benchmark Mode. We would need much more miners to hope to break the 6-tuples record by mining RIC.
No block is mined in Benchmark Mode, it is independent from the Riecoin blockchain.

And yes as Pon13 said, if you wish to beat a world record using rieMiner, the best is to join Discord to discuss about it.

There was an emulation software able to mask the appearance of a miner as though it runs from benchmark mode. That would require high wire work and particular insights in hash and coding stuff therefore hard to do. A miner in question whereby the real coin blockchain was affected was reputed to be a chinese one. Someone just sought themselves some renown by carrying out this elaborate hack.

A fourth prime constellation record was beaten thanks to Riecoin software!
The prime decuplet was submitted to Tony Forbes, who confirmed its validity and listed it on his reference website showing the largest known prime constellations.
This time, and like the Vidarn's 7-tuplet record, it also beats the largest known simultaneous prime record.

Now that's what we call Proof-of-Work !

Quick, someone call Norris McWhirter.

I will add a back link to gapcoin.club asap.

Bump + merit.  Smiley

Again, in GitHub:
Quote
You can then spend it after 100 confirmations
The wallet also says how many confirmations are left...

There is already a full and detailed example in the GitHub page. In particular, it is clearly mentioned that the case mattered. And both "Mode = Solo" and "Mode=Solo" would work without issue...
Yes, the miner is not supposed to be installed in /usr. Just put it wherever you want in your /home directory...

With 6 GiB of RAM, try PrimeTableLimit = 1610612736, and if it is using too much memory, use 1073741824.
Try SieveWorkers = 1 and monitor CPU usage, ensuring that it is most of the times at 100%. If there is a noticeable CPU Underuse, increment the number until you find the sweet spot.
Try values between 23 and 26 for the SieveBits and choose the sweet spot.

so apparently.... the example rieMiner.conf which I copy pasted has some formatting issues.
To be safe I also removed special characters from the username and password.

Also, to run the miner and create a conf file you shouldn't install the miner to /usr/local/bin but run it in a sub directory of the user's home or else the conf file will not be generated by the assistant.

It would be very helpful to new(bie) users if there was a well vetted example rieMiner.conf.
One of the conventions used in the current generated conf file by the assistant is the capitalization and the extra spacing which was unexpected.
Code:
Mode = Solo
instead of
Code:
mode=solo

With 6GB RAM I cannot seem to figure out the "tuning". Is there any help for that?

Thanks Smiley
I got it up and running at least Cheesy

If your username or password contain spaces, that might cause such issue.
Otherwise I don't really see what could cause this, please tell us in this case more (your OS, riecoin.conf and rieMiner.conf contents,...)

ok, I hope you don't mind but I cannot find any answers anywhere for this:
Code:
Connecting to Riecoin server...
sendRPCCall: JSON decoding failed :| - '[' or '{' expected near end of file
Failure :| ! Retry in 10 seconds...
using the latest miners from github trying to solo mine.
The wallet reports incorrect password attempts on ports in the 59900 to 64000 range and not the conf file rpcport=28332
when mining to 127.0.0.1

Hoping you can help. TY.

uBlock.it Admin
As uBlock.it has grown, we have continued to command a very large percentage of network hashrate, and we thank all users that have been loyal customers over the years and mining at uBlock.it

Moving forward uBlock.it will begin charging a 2% fee to hopefully incentivize users to either, move to solo mining, or to join xpoolx.(or even create a competing pool)

We will periodically assess the situation and adjust fees accordingly to ensure that uBlock.it does not command over 51% hashrate for any extended period.
Happy mining  Smiley

Coingecko is now tracking southXchange pairs for RIC
This should also reflect on miningpoolstats.
As soon as we get a bit more volume, we should be able to request the pair added back to coinmarketcap

Exactly, getting on CMC is the next step, well done Riecoin community!
